~If something about the character is I also relate to, I will put ** around it. ~
Ladenee's POV
My alarm is going off and leading me to something I'm positive I will hate. That's right. School. Not only is it school, but its my first day and it's the middle of the school year. Well, I have to *get up or else my mom will kill me*.
I drag my *lazy butt* out of bed and look at myself in the mirror. I look at my *contacts* and put them in. My right eye burns so I take it out, flip it right-side out and put it back in. I look in the mirror and wonder what the people will think of my ice blue hair and forest green bangs.
I grab my neon yellow brush and drag through my matted hair. It's easier because I straightened it but if it was *curly*, I'd be standing there for at least a half hour.
I throw my hair in a basic flip-through. I put on my black, sparkly tank top and a neon blue shirt with lace sleeves over it. I wear light green skinny jeans that I have trouble slipping into because, well, they're called SKINNY jeans for a reason.
I think I'm not skinny but everybody says otherwise. I'm 13, 5"6' and 130 pounds. Really? It's *muscle?* Yeah. Doesn't ring a bell.
I get my skinny jeans on (finally) and rush downstairs as fast as possible and realize a minute to late that I'm skipping steps. I trip and, knowing my *terrible luck*, I smash my head into the old front door.
"Ladenee? Ur such a *klutz*! Is there any blood or extreme injuries?" My mom asks from the kitchen. ~She thinks that I can tell if I'm hurt? Has she seen my grades for health?~ I get up and walk over to her and raise my arms as if to say "Do I look like I'm dying?"
She looks at the clock before she starts to iron my dads shirt and makes some weird squeak sound. "Ladenee! Your going to *miss your bus*! Grab a Pop Tart and get moving!" She says tossing me a *cupcake Pop Tart*. "And get those *bangs out of your face*! Are you going emo or something?"
I casually bite my Pop Tart and run out the door yelling "Bye Mom! Bye Dad! See you later!" I run out the door and walk to the bus stop. On my way, I mumble to myself "Wish me luck."
I am the last person there but still wait for at least 10 minutes. When I was waiting, I stood *awkwardly to the side* and wasn't making eye contact with anybody. ~Good start, Ladenee. Do this for the rest of the day and you'll just get ignored.~
On the bus, I sit alone until I'm on for a good 15 minutes. I look up from my iPhone and see a boy with the same hair color as me look over to me and come to sit down. ~Crap! Why did I look up? Well, time to be my socially retarded self.~
He stands at my seat and looks at me. "Is this seat reserved?" I look over and see he has hazel eyes. I shake my head and sit up somewhat straight and try to look confident, but, I'm not quite sure it's working.
"I'm -" he gets cut short by some dude saying, "Hey! He's already hitting on the new chick. Man. Ur hot!" He says to me, as my cheeks burn. "Somebody's flattered!" The dude says with a proud face. Little did he know, it wasn't because I was flattered. I was actually really enraged.
"You think you're so cool! Don't you? You're not cool! You're just like the people at my last school! You think you're all that and you're really nothing but a giant man whore! Shut up and let somebody be polite! Maybe even you could give it a try it!"
Everybody on the bus is taken aback, but then some start to clap. Then more. And more. Eventually half of the bus is clapping. Even the driver gives me an approving look.
Everyone goes back to there own thing and the boy who didn't call me hot gets to introduce himself. "Sorry about that. Trey's a real jerk. I'm Garred. Garred Partew." I nod. I feel like I know that name. ~Garred Partew.~ "I'm Ladenee Latynoque. My name is complicated. I know."
