I got out of car, "I always thought this house was creepy" my wife Nancy said. "I know but he doesn't get a lot of company out here I thought it would be nice to visit my brother"
"Mark, there is a cemetery right next to his house, no wonder people don't come out here"
"I know but just try to be nice, ok"
As we go up the steps to the front porch, I can't help but think if Nancy is right. This place is creepy
However, all those thought go away, as my brother Devan opens the door, he looks so happy to see us. "Come in" he says in a cheery tone.
We go inside, and it is quit cozy inside, it's a nice house, very classic look and nice rustic furniture.
He leads us into the living room, where we sit on a nice comfortable couch with a nice coffee table to accompany it. Devan turns on the TV for us to watch as he leaves the room, "I'll be back in just a bit"
We were just sitting watching some random TV show when the broadcast came on
"This is a nationwide emergency broadcast, this is not a test, I repeat this is NOT a test" That message sent chills down my spine, what could be happening. I look over at my wife to see she looks just as shocked as I.
"There is an outbreak of unidentified creatures, we do not know what they are so they will be given the name alternatives"
"Alternatives?" I mumbled under my breath, that word somehow made the chilling feeling even worse.
"These alternatives use extreme physiological warfare, they mimic you, or your loved ones, the specific methods they use are as unidentified as they are so refrain from all contact. However, something we do know is that they usually make their victims... commit suicide"
"Suicide, what the hell could these things be?" I was getting increasingly concerned, and I could see my wife was as well.
"They exist in three categories, 1st category the doppelganger, the doppelganger will mimic you, and then target you. It will find you and break you down mentally, until they make you take your own life. After this, it will permanently replace you. However, they can't mimic you perfectly there will always be something off about them. So if you see a person identical to you, run away and hide."
"The 2nd category the unusual, the unusual look almost human, but with distorted or impossible features. These features include such as, extra ordinarily long limbs, stretched faces, smiles that go up to their ears and some have been described to look like a glitch or something from an old analog TV. These are even more dangerous than the 1st category, they are known to cause physical harm, and for their victims to... end themselves faster. If you see someone with biologically impossible features, run away and hide"
