Appreciation Day to Celebrate The Last Day of School For Year 6
The last day of school is always the hardest since 6 years is an ampoule time to create a variety of bitter and sweet memories for the students. Therefore, a celebration is vital to at least celebrate the memories created between the teachers and the students. However, certain things should be considered by the teachers which are sending letters to the parents, finding time outside the learning period and making preparations for the event. This is based on the year 6 appreciation day in Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru (SEBARU), Kuala Selangor.
The first thing to consider is to find the perfect time to do the celebration as everyone is aware that the learning period cannot be interrupted by other activities. Plus, the celebration is only focusing on the year 6 students. Hence, the other students would be uncontrollable without the teachers' supervision. Therefore as for SEBARU, the celebration was made on Thursday evening, that is after the morning school session ended.
Next is the parent's permission, as they hold the responsibility for their children. In order to get parents' permission, a letter signed by the headmistress must be distributed to parents at least two weeks before the event. This is to give adequate time for parents to be well aware of any event organized by the school.
The last significant thing in preparing for the event is the workforce of the school parties namely the teachers or the school's community. This is to divide the duty among the school communities. Some examples of the preparation include the decorations, students' performance and chronology planning of the event. With the help of school communities, the event could run smoothly.
Therefore, there are at least three things to consider when planning for a school event especially when it is focusing on a specific group of the community. Accordingly, the perfect time, parental permission and neat preparation should be observed closely while arranging an event in the school.
