She walks alone into the world
No mother of father to help this girl
Broken bones are her only friend
So she tries hard to pretend
That she has wings to fly away
And maybe live another day.
And count the the stars on her own
Instead of counting the broken bones.
She lives on and counts the days
One bye one, they fly away.
Just as she flutters upon the clouds,
The images become clearer now.
She faces the things that haunted her,
And erases the pain that taunted her.
