"Romeo & Juliet" Mr. Robins put a slideshow on the screen
"A Classic, one of my favorite" he smiles looking at the screen
"After reading the play you will be writing why you thought they fell in love"
Ryan came in making he whole class turns their head looking at him, he looked into my eyes but I looked away in an instant
"Mr. Carson you're late...once again" He crossed his arms
"Sorry Mr. Robert"
"Robins" "When will you get it right"
He walking towards me and sat down tot he desk to the left of me
"Hey Buddy, why aren't you sitting in the back with us" Your friends whispers but it was loud enough for the while class to hear
"I want to sit with Jade" he says, I roll my eyes and just cross my arms making it seem like I'm engulfed in the movie to even notice he is there
"I will give you the rest of the class time to start this essay, but only this class" Mr. Robins then sat at his desk and went on his phone
I believe Romeo & Juilet fell in love because of the feeling they felt when they first met....Love At First Sight
"You know he only gave us 2 minutes" Ryan said watching me writing my essay, and pointing to the clock that was above him, I looked at the clock
He was right Mr. Robins only gave us two minutes of class time to start this essay
"It's called wanted to get good grades" I said looking at the clock again to see how long I still have
"Grades are just letters on a sheet of paper"
"That determines what kind of future you are going to have" I said back to him
Shook his head "Think what you want to think"
As the bell rung I grabbed my books and headed to my locker and I could see again he followed me and I didn't stop him
As I was changing my books and he just leaned against the locker waiting for me
"You know you can get to class"
"Rather be late"
Mike came over Ryan turned his body so his back was facing me but I could still hear them
"Dude, why are you hanging with her?" Mike said looking right at me
"I don't know I just like hanging out with her, got a problem?"
Mike laughed so hard that it echoes through the whole hallway
"What does that even mean? Like hanging out with her the is no such thing" Ouch
"I don't know I feel different when I'm with her"
"Buddy she is a freak, and a totally werido go for Jessica or Amy they are smoken and cab totally make you feel happy"
I have to admit that hurt, that's what people think of me, as a freak. I quickly walked away my eyes hurt I couldn't believe I started to cry over a stupid thing that Mike had said about me
Then I felt Ryan touch my shoulder and turn my body around, his face was concerned
He saw that I was crying and placed his hand on my cheek
"Hey Jade I'm sorry he was a totally jerk"
"No he's right cause I'm a freak and werido nobody will ever like me so just leave me alone" I my throat hurt I wanted to just scream
"Jade...You're perfect nobody can beat you"
"You don't even know me" I and broke from you grip and walked away
Ryan P.O.V
I saw her walk away. Seeing her cry gave me this feeling inside that was just painful. My hand quickly turned into a fist. It was that stupid Mike.
He was still leaning against the locker
"You are such a jerk!" I said to him. He smiled
"For telling you that Jessica was hot"
"For making Jade upset"
"Dude who cares if she's hurt, nobody cares about her"
I fired built up in my body and without think I swung my hand and hit Mike right in face
He fell to the floor with a loud thump,
Everyone turned their head towards us. Mike face was pure red
"What the hell!" He screamed, his hand cupped his cheek. He raised his hand and my body fell to the floor. Pain spread from my cheek to my entire body.
Everyone was screaming, yelling, and some were even cheering
Sounds of clicks silences the hall and Mrs. Faso the princable looks at both of us
"OFFICE NOW!"
Me and Mike with bruised cheeks both look up at him
"There is ZERO tolerance in this school, zero" He said, eyeing Mike, he playing with a piece of paper as he speaks to us and then stands up
"Now since Ryan you started the fight you have 1 week of suspension and Mike you have 4 detentions for hitting back" he pauses a long hard pause before speaking again
"And both of you with be helping with the preparation of the Prom" He says, I know this wasn't the school board's choice I could see he wanted us to suffer. He knows that me and Mike have practice after-school and would miss it if we stayed after to help with Prom
"Now you are not to get back to class and you are both sent home for the day" He gives us a cold hard stare before waving us off. We both stand up without a word coming out from our mouths and before the door shut Mr. Faso yells
"I don't want to see you back here!" And the door shuts and it's just me and Mike in a empty hallway
"Ryan! you Idiot look what you've got us into" Yelling straight into my face very loud everyone in the whole hallway heard us, Mr. Faso comes out of his office
"Out" he points to the main door and we both leave.
"Buddy, were are friends" He pausing making sure I got that through my head
"I've got your back and you've got mine, Why did you do that and cost half a season worth of Practice for us?" He says but instead of angry his voice is confused
"Man I don't know?" I said sticking my hands in my pocket "I don't know what happened back there man"
We just both stare at the parking lot and there was a long moment of silence between us
"What's up with you and Jade" He says finally breaking the silence
"I think I might have feelings"
"Feeling" he laughs "the last time you got 'feelings' was when Becca came with you to that party and you made out on the couch"
I remember Becca her blond bright hair falling right next to her shoulders, she has a bright red lipstick that stained my lips that night
"Jade, she will get her by you" he walks down the street to his car, "If everyone knew you liked her she will live like she is in hell
