Letting Go

Stepping into a new life

Kai's POV

I was exploring the vast area of Ouran High when I heard the first bell ring. I was running towards homeroom when I bumped into someone.

"Are you okay?" the voice asked.

I looked up to see a beautiful, blond headed guy offering me his hand.

"I'm Tamaki Suoh. Are you new here princess?" he asked.

"I'm fine and I'm not your "princess" alright? My name's Kai Nakayama." I said.

I took his hand and stood up. I waved to him and started running again the same way I was before. By the time that I got to homeroom attendance was already being taken so I sat down in a random desk. I finally had time to look around the room, it was a light shade of blue with gold pillars lining the walls. There weren't many students in my homeroom so it was easy to catch him looking over. He had floppy, brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. I started to blush as did he and we both turned away embarrassed.

"Haruhi Fujioka," the teacher called.

"Here," replied the boy.

"Kai Nakayama," the teacher said.

"Present," I said back.

The teacher continued calling names and multiple times I found Haruhi look my way. The bell finally rang for first period, I had Biology first.

When I walked into the room I found that Tamaki Suoh was in my class. He was talking to some girls and they were all squealing. What a player, I thought. I sat next to some kid named Takashi Morinozuka. He didn't talk much which was nice since everyone here was so talkative, so I decided to try to befriend him.

"Umm. Hi, I'm Kai Nakayama. I have a question. Why does that Tamaki always have girls around him?" I asked inquiringly.

" Takashi Morinozuka but you an call me Mori. That Tamaki guy is part of the host club here. It's pretty popular so you must be new if you haven't heard of it already," he replied.

"I am new actually. I was wondering if you know where a good quiet place to study is, could you point me that way?" I asked trying to get a conversation going.

" No. There are none," he replied obviously not wanting to talk.

So I turned back around and listened to the teacher drone on. Near the end of class Mori handed me a note and said it was from his friend Haruhi. I think that was the name of that guy in homeroom that kept staring at me but it could be a different name like Hideo. It said to go to Music Room #3 after school and that was it. I think that I might go, I don't know though cause I just met him and Mori. I'll go anyways, what harm would it do?

A/N: I'm so excited to be writing this. I will probably upload the next part latter tonight or tomorrow. So excited to see what everyone thinks about it. I'm still pretty new at wattpad because I've never written a story so bare with me as I figure it out.:)
