Kai's POV

I was out of breath from running. It was my first day of hosting and I was already late.

Shit, they're gonna kill me. I can't believe I lost track of time. Damn it. Why am I so out of shape?

I slowed to a stop in front of the enormous doors to music room #3. I brushed the dust off my dress and took a deep breath before I stepped inside preparing myself for whatever punishment awaited me. What I saw astounded me, they were all dressed up as different characters from Shakespeare's plays.

"You're late," Tamaki said disappointed by my lack of ability to keep time.

"Sorry," I replied out of breath.

Kyoya handed me my outfit and I went to get dressed. I put my dress on and immediately realized that I was supposed to be Juliet from Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare's most popular play. I walked out of the dressing room and went and started serving coffee to the other hosts. I noticed that each host was dressed as a male character except for Haruhi who was dressed as Odessa from A Midsummer's Night Dream.

"Umm, Haruhi-senpai, why are you dressed as a girl?" I questioned oblivious to the fact that all the other members knew.

"Oh, they haven't told you yet. I'm actually a girl I just had to cut my hair because I got gum stuck in it," she replied cheerily.

"Cool,"

With that we both got back to work setting up for today's meeting. Once the step up was finished I went to sit down at my station. The room looked like I had just stepped into England's playhouse all the way back in the 1800's. The doors opened and girls came rushing in and sat down at their favorite hosts spot.

"Oh! Honey you look so cute in your Macbeth outfit!"

"Tamaki, you look so regal in your Julius Caesar outfit,"

The flow slowed to a trickle and soon there were no more girls coming in the door. The chatter filled the room and soon I was left sitting alone at the large couch in the middle of the room. I had finished my cup of coffee and was pouring another one when the door slowly opened and a short girl came in cautiously. She looked around and when she spotted me she started to walk towards me with her head down as if she was embarrassed. She sat down as quiet as a mouse and grabbed her cup, already full of coffee, and took a sip.

"Hi! I'm Kai, what's your name?"

"Oh, I-I'm Amaranthine," she said barely audible.

I looked around and noticed that the chatter had quieted and that everyone was starting suddenly the silence was broken when someone said,

"Hey! Isn't that... Amaranthine the dyke?"

"Oh my God you're right it is!"

"Ewww, I bet she came in her just to watch us,"

"Just like in the locker room!"

I looked over to Amaranthine and saw her eyes fill with tears. I grabbed her hands before she had a chance to run away.

"Hey don't listen to them. They don't know anything about you." I said trying to comfort her.
