You're not damaged, You're mine

CHAPTER 1

Have you ever felt as if you were brought into this world just to suffer and be treated as someone useless, well that was my life. I'm Lethubuhle Mia Xaba, let me take you through the journey of my life.

I am the daughter of Lindokuhle and Lindani Xaba. My mom died when giving birth to my younger sister Lethokuhle Maya Xaba and our lives were hell after that. My dad remarried a year later and a snake came into our lives. Look my stepmother is the definition of evil amd and ever since she married my dad, she treated my little sister and I like her slaves.

When my mom died I was only four and my dad stopped caring about us when I was seven and my little sister was three because his wife had given him two twin boys that seemed to matter more than us. Ever since then, our sight seemed to disgust him. They had another son when I was ten and that only brought in more pain gor my sister and I. By the time I was 15, I was numb to it all (well almost).

Present(8 years later)

Letho: I can't believe we are finally doing this.

Me:well, believe it sis, don't let your guard down though, you know your step brothers

Well we are finally running away from home, or should I say hell. I've been saving and raising money for this and Sihle( youngest step brother) helped us. He is literally the kindest person in this messed up family. He would always get us food and blankets when they locked the storeroom, forcing us to sleep outside. I'm surely gonna miss him.

He was actually the one who came up with the plan/idea of running away when we had already given up, he even helped us raise money that could last us for atleast six months. Anyway, as we were packing, my step mom called me

Step mom: LETHU!! ( she shouted)

Me: COMING!!( I shouted back)

Me: hide the bags I'm coming( i whispered to my little sister)

I found her waiting in the kitchen in front of a pile of dirty dishes with an angry look on her face. Mxm

Step mom: YEWENA!! Who do you think should do these dishes

Me: Kodwa ma, I already did them

She slapped me, I was seriously getting tired of all this , I just wanna leave already

Her: YEY! I TOLD YOU TO NEVER CALL MA, IM VERY MUCH ALIVE!

I just rolled my eyes then I felt a hot slap land on my face

Her: Roll those eyes at me again and I'll make sure you're never able to roll them again. Mxm

I just looked at her with tears in my eyes

Her: Wash these dishes. Nx

I washed the dishes and went back to the storeroom my sister and I used

Letho: Are you okay?( she asked worried)

Me: Yeah I'm fine, I'm just tired of all this

Her: Me too, we can't mess this up

Me: I know, let's finish before it's too late

Her: Okay

We had planned to leave at dawn before any of them woke up. We finished packing and got sleep after bathing.
