Chapter 25. G. POV.

As we left the hospital we decided to take a longer route home, it feels so surreal to call my house an actual home. I never thought I would meet someone that would make me want to even have one but Saphire makes me lustful for the whole kids running in the backyard, white picket fence around the house, dream. We picked up Zeus from doggy daycare where Dave left him when we got calledon duty and he didn't drop down the energy at all.

„I am so glad Alec is alright, he doesn't deserve to be taken away from us this early," Saph started up a conversation as we packed the snacks in a grocery store.

„He isn't fine. Physically maybe, but emotionally he is a mess, he just doesn't want to show or share it," I grabbed the bags and we were on our way.

„What do you mean?"

„Alec is just going trough a lot of shit. I told you about his parents, he was still so young and he had to mature at that age, he missed out on so much shit, from the spring breaks to the long night parties. He had to mature early because he had no other choice and I hate that that was his fate, but I can't say that I wish his life was any different because that means that him and I might have never met in the first place," we entered the taxi and I rattled of the address.

The ride home was pretty quiet, aside from Zeus's barking at passersby. Neither one of us wanted to discuss Alec's life in the presence of a foreign person so we silently agreed to drop the topic. And truth be told, I would much rather talk about something else, other than my best friend that I almost lost today.

As we entered the house Zeus bolted off to the backyard, meanwhile, I could see Saphire lost in her world and I couldn't have that.

„What's on your mind?"

„I was just thinking..." she took a pause, „it could have been you in that hospital bed instead of Alec."

„Yeah, it could have," I saw where this was going so I came around and brought her in my arms to comfort her even more, „I won't lie to you and say that this will be the last scare you experience from me in our relationship, but I can say that I do what I do to make this city, this whole world a safer place for the people I love. Starting with you," I kissed her deeply, to make sure she understands just how much I appreciate and love having her in my life, „and then with my family, and with our future family," that seemed to do the trick.

„Our future family?"

„Yes, the two of us, kids running around, the whole deal."

„You don't think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself?" she wrapped her arms around my neck, and smiled from ear to ear.

„Not at all, if anything I think we're behind schedule. We have a lot of babies to make," I grabbed her ass and hauled her up while she wrapped her legs around my waist, how I loved that feeling.

„You got all this planned out already, what do you need me for?"

„Well you can tell me how many kids do you want? I already told you I wanted a mini soccer team, but I am ready to compromise, a little," I was starting to slowly lose my mind. Every time she was this close to me I lost my ability to think clearly.

„I did always want a big family, something like 4 kids?"

„4? I was thinking more like 6."

„I am not pushing 6 kids out of my vagina, it is already tight as it is."

„Don't worry baby, we'll stretch it out," and my self control was out the window. Who would have thought that baby talk would make me this horny. I guess when it's with the right person, even talking about elephants could get me high on arousal.
