Chapter 4
"Confessions"

AU POV

Welcome back! We are going to alter the story a bit more with my flair to it. (Don't worry it's also following the movie style too. Ahhhh I'm excited for this chapter!) so for this, we will automatically say that Rodney has already made it to the train station, and headed to the CrossTown Express, where he meets Fender again.

Rodney POV

Circling platforms rolled around in a synchronized fashion, as the stairs moved me down towards them. Being able to match my timing perfectly, I jump onto the rotating platform, spinning onto a metal... half circle thing?

My back then slides against the metal, clutching my suitcase tightly in the palm of my hand. Pushing me around within its grasp, I collide with the other petting the sphere, holding another passenger.

Uh..
Is that the robot from earlier?

Exiting my thoughts, he was sleeping against me, grabbing at my chest like I was a pillow. Nudging him off, he falls off against me, landing down against the bottom of the sphere. After being uncomfortable for a while, we get moved up onto a conveyor belt, lifting us up towards the sky.

Man..

I really hope Cassie (Y/N) is okay. I wish I could see her.

I miss her.

A lot.

(Play the clip to get us to the next part 😜)

I stood there, finding myself at Bigweld industries, where Tim from the show told me that Bigweld isn't even here. Let alone allowing new inventors to come and show their ideas. Feeling frustrated, I decided to make a journey instead of trying to break into the office.

(Trust it will happen just taking a detour xD)

Killing time would be the best thing right?

I find myself walking towards a small diner, just down the street from Bigweld Industries. Stepping inside the threshold, I see robots of all kinds taking almost every space in it. However, one robot in particular stood out to me.

She had long black hair, with a complete chrome outfit. She sat at the bar on a stool, eating bolt chili.

Hmm? Why does she look familiar?

Trying to take a peek without causing any attention

The girl had a cute face, but she reminded me of Cassie (Y/N).

Wait..?

Is that her...?

She moved to get up as I stood a few steps behind her, I finally took a look at her clearly.

Oh my god...

That IS her...

I felt every single sense in my body react to the epiphany of the moment. I kept my eyes on her, trying to flag her attention down.

"Excuse me miss!" I asked heistantly

She nodded and stopped in front of me.

"What's your name? I'm so sorry this is random, but you look like someone I know." I chimed up.

"Cassie (Y/N) and you?" She replied.

"Rodney!" I giggled happily

She is still so beautiful...

"No it's not, or at least I don't know YOU." She says, clearly getting antsy.

Huh?

Before I could speak, she was walking out of the door to almost vanish before I could see what direction she was walking in. I look down at my hand to shift them up to the door, still swaying after she left.

Later that Evening...

YOUR POV

Rodney? There was no way that was him. Absolutely no way.

I wrapped my arms around my chest, completely loss in my thoughts. I found myself walking to my grandmother's house, following the lonely sounds of cars passing me. Light scratching noises of mechanical birds haunt my ears. Finally walking to the house, I slip my keys in the door. The faint smell of oil and potpourri hits my senses, walking into the living area. Depression lurked over my mind as I then think about Rodney.

Was that really Rodney?

Or was that just another robot named Rodney?

And why am I reliving my depression again?

I immediately walked to my room, slipping into it.

I finally tossed my keys onto the nightstand. My feet glide against the soft surface, the smell of roses cling to my nose. I flopped onto the bed, the leftover vanilla oil I had on leaving a haze in its wake. Clicking the tv on the wall,  I decided to just watch some old romance films. The pit in my stomach seemed to get tight.

Why do I feel so empty..
