Hazel's Brother

Hazels boyfriend pt 1

These next two parts are Hazel's brother- but Nico's side of the story !! Enjoy!!

"I'm a horrible brother" Nico complains as he licked his ice cream. He was on the phone with his closest friend Reyna, who happened to be the only person he knew that didn't have any connection to Will- meaning he could tell her about his crush without worrying about her letting it slip.

"I have to be honest; it sounds pretty bad" Reyna answered "Of all the guys in the world do you have to have a crush on Hazel's boyfriend??

"It gets worse" He groans "Hazel's boyfriend Likes me back"

"Are you sure?" Reyna asks "You could be wrong"

"I'm not an idiot Reyna, He stares at me like, all the time. And He blushes and stutters a ton around me. I've seen him with his other friends- he doesn't act like that with anyone else"

"So, what will you do?" she asked

"Well, that's why I came to you. I'm going to tell Hazel today" Nico said determined.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Reyna asked. She looked worried "Can't you just get over him? Telling her might make things awkward"

"I've tried Rain. I can't get over him. But maybe if I tell Hazel the excitement will fade, and I'll be able to get over him."

"sounds reasonable," Reyna says and Nico hears the front door to the house close "Sorry Rain! I have to go" 

"Hey Neeks" Hazel exclaims as she bursts into his room 

"Ever heard of knocking first?" Nico says  putting his phone on his bedside desk

Hazel rolls her eyes "Please, you heard me come in. Guess who got an 83 in chemistry?!?"

"No way"

"Way"

"That's insane!! it's like 15 points higher than your last test!!" Nico ran to Hazel and Embraced her. "All your hard work paid off"

"I know!!!" She screamed "And Will got almost 20 points higher!! I think studying with someone else is what we were both missing all this time" 

Nico's smile slid off his face "Hazel, I- I need to tell you something"

She frowned "What's wrong? Are you okay?" She sat down on the bed and he joined her. 

"About your boyfriend-"

"hold up, what are you talking abou-" She said and then gasped as her eyes widened "Wait do you mean Will? ugh not you too!" She put her head in her hands "Me and Will aren't dating, we're just really good friends"

"For real?!?" Nico shouted, much louder than he intended. He was shocked, if what Hazel was saying was true it means all this guilt he's been suffering for the past few months had been meaningless "Hazel I've had a crush on him for months!! I thought you two were dating!!"

Her eyes widened "R-Really? I didn't notice!"

"I haven't been hiding it that well," He said, puzzled "Whatever, can I ask him out? I won't if you don't want me to- but if you're okay with it I-" he blushed and looked away, his voice slowly becoming smaller "I'd really like to"

She smiled "I have a cheerleading meet tomorrow. Why don't I invite him over and you can shoot your shot"

"You are the best sister in the history of the universe" Nico declared, as he hugged her again
