Hazel's Brother

Part 1

"Hey Will! Coming to my place again this evening!?" Hazel asks as she gets her chemistry books out of her locker.

"If you'll have me, I've been coming over practically every weekend lately" Will answers, fidgeting nervously.

"Um obviously, I love hanging out with you!" Hazel answers as Will makes eye contact with a jock behind her back, who raises his eyebrows suggestively.

"Right, um see you!" Will says quickly, as he turns toward his gym class.

"oOoOO going to Hazel's place" Percy Jackson, a star member of the school's swim team runs up to Will. 

"Honestly Percy, are we 4th graders?" Will says, rolling his eyes

" With the way your crushing we might as well be 'um if you'll have me'" Percy retorts, saying the end with a high-pitched voice as he tucks an imaginary hair behind his ear.

"I don't sound like that!" Will whisper yells, glancing around to see if anyone heard "And I'm not anxious about going to her house!"

"Yes you are" Jason, another swim team member appears "You always freak out about going to her house, it's weird, I've never seen you be awkward about hanging out with her anywhere else" 

"What do you think is going to happen?" Percy asks raising an eyebrow with a smirk

"OKAY" Will yells' blushing "Can we talk about something else? How's Annabeth?"

As Percy begins blabbing about his girlfriend a guilty feeling starts to overtake Will. Because he knows they were right, he was excited to go to Hazel's house. But the reasons were very different from everyone's assumption.

Normally Will would wait for Hazel to finish cheer practice, but he spilled some ketchup on his shirt earlier so he decides to go home and change first. Not his best idea. Will practically empty his closet to pick the perfect outfit and prove that he doesn't care what he wears cause he isn't awkward about being at Hazel's house.

He changes 10 times, each time either thinking: this is too dressy! I'm just going on a casual hangout!

Or: I can't wear this! I don't look good enough! He'll laugh at me!

Finally, Will chose an outfit practically identical to the one he had been wearing before, but without the stain. It was right in time, he heard Hazel's car enter his driveway a minute after he finished buttoning his shirt.

"Want to attempt to finish our chemistry studying today?" Will asks Hazel as he gets into the car

"Attempt is the right word" Hazel groans as she starts the car "Can someone explain why Mr. D is teaching it? He isn't even qualified "

"It's just till Chiron returns from his leg surgery," Will says "Then Mr D can go back to being principal "

"Yeah but until then we have to deal with practically teaching ourselves " Hazel complains as they arrive at her house and drive in.

"Welcome home, Hazel. Welcome back... Will" Nico di Angelo greets the two with a smirk that makes Will begin to blush noticeably. He looks away quickly, hoping neither of the siblings noticed.

I had so much fun writing this, and I hope you readers enjoy it! this was my first time making a cover for my story so I'd love to hear what you think and if I should do it for my other stories. This is a one-shot for now, but if people like it I might continue the story for another few chapters.
