Grantaire sat between Courfeyrac and Combeferre, staring at his plate of pancakes. "You alright?" Courfeyrac asked through a mouthful of pancakes.

"Yeah. It's just uh, I need a place to stay for a couple of nights," he mumbled.

"Your mom mad at you again?" Combeferre asked and he snorted.

"You have no idea." Grantaire looked over at Enjolras who stared at his plate, chewing his lip.

"Is he okay?" Grantaire asked and they shrugged.

"I woke up at around five and he was still awake, so. Anyways, he's vegan, so he's not going to eat those. May I have those?" Courfeyrac asked and Enjolras handed him the plate, rubbing his eyes and yawning.

Grantaire looked at his lap, feeling his cheeks heat up. Combeferre nudged him and Grantaire pressed his lips together. "He's cute when he yawns," he confessed and Combeferre half smiled.

"R has a crush!" He squealed and Grantaire slapped him.

"You can't tell anyone. Sp can I stay at your house?" He asked and Combeferre nodded.

"Probably only for a night or two."

"That's fine. Thank you," Grantaire whispered and glanced at Enjolras again.

Grantaire set his bag on the bed, looking at Combeferre.

"Thank you for letting me stay here," he sighed and Combeferre smiled.

"It's no problem. But I'm still not sure if you'll be able to stay the night. . ." He trailed off and Grantaire nodded.

"I know," he replied quietly, hitting the bed.

"Damn. This is just- where am I supposed to fucking stay? Don't worry, I leave at around 10:00. I'll find somewhere," Grantaire sighed and Combeferre nodded.

At 10:00 Grantaire left Combeferre's house and walked down the street, his bag hanging on his shoulder. He walked past the gas station and dug through his pocket, finding a few crumpled twenty's.

He sighed and walked in, grabbed a few cases of beer, and left. He sat down on the curb in the nearest neighborhood and opened a bottle.

He took a long gulp and sighed, shaking his head. "Taking your mothers habits, are we?" He mocked himself and finished it off.

He sat silent for a few seconds before jumping to his feet, bottle firmly in his fist, and threw the bottle on the ground, shattering it.

"Yay," he cheered quietly and sat back down, drinking more.

When he finished all the bottles he stood up and continued walking, looking at the houses.

He pulled his phone out and texted Enjolras, asking for his address. He was given it and realized he had just passed it.

Groaning, Grantaire turned around and headed for the house. He reached what he thought was the right address and grabbed a large stone. He hurled it at the window, missing by a yard.

"So much for the classic romance," he joked to himself and pulled out his phone, calling Enjolras this time.

"What?" Enjolras snapped and Grantaire sighed.

"If you missed it, I threw a stone at your window. Trying to be all romantic and shit. Anyways, I can't find anywhere to stay and I just- fuck, man" he yelled, wiping his eyes.

"Are you alright?" Enjolras asked.

"I just really need a place to stay. Do you know anywhere?" He asked and looked up, seeing Enjolras waving at him from the window.

He disappeared and the door opened a few minutes later, waving at Enjolras. "Hurry," he whispered and Grantaire speed walked inside, leaning against the wall and staring at Enjolras.

"Are you drunk?" Enjolras asked and Grantaire sighed.

"Wasted. I just- I don't know what to do!" Grantaire exclaimed and Enjolras covered Grantaire's mouth, shushing him.

"Alexandre? Who is it?" Grantaire heard a low voice call out.

"A friend," Enjolras grumbled as his parents appeared in the room.

"Why are you here at this hour?" His mom asked and Grantaire looked down.

"I kind of got disowned. I was just looking for a place to stay until I can find a hotel or something," Grantaire explained, it coming out more as a plead.

"Are you intoxicated? That's highly illegal, young man," the dad said and Grantaire rolled his eyes.

"In Europe I'd be fine. I'll go find a place to stay, thanks for your hospitality," Grantaire grumbled, turning around and heading for the door.

"Whoa, you can't go out like that. Go make some coffee," the father told Enjolras's mother and she nodded.

"So you got disowned, huh? Is that why you're like this?" He asked and Grantaire snorted.

"I guess you could say that. I just kind of freaked out when I couldn't find a place, the whole 'the world is ending' think, you know?" Grantaire asked and Enjolras's dad nodded.

"Go show him to your room, let him set his bag down and relax; we'll bring the coffee up, okay?" His mom asked and they both nodded.

Enjolras grabbed Grantaire's bicep and awkwardly dragged him up to his room.

"Dude, your house is like a mansion!" Grantaire exclaimed when they shut the door.

"Have you ever seen a mansion?" Enjolras asked.

"Have you seen my motherfucking house? Anything is better than that dump," he muttered, shuffling his feet awkwardly.

"You can sit down! Or, something. . . I have a trundle bed so we can both sleep up here," Enjolras said and Grantaire nodded.

"You know I'm gay, right?" He asked and Enjolras nodded.

"Yeah, so? I'm not worried about you hitting on my, nobody ever does, first of all and secondly, I will break your fucking neck if you touch me," Enjolras stated and Grantaire poked his arm.

"You're so immature," Enjolras muttered through gritted teeth, fighting back the urge to laugh.

"Can I use your shower?" Grantaire asked and Enjolras nodded. Grantaire pulled out a towel from his bag and walked into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.

Enjolras grabbed his laptop and Newsies, putting the movie in and waiting for it to load.

Grantaire came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, the towel wrapped around his waist. "Is that newsies I hear?" He asked and Enjolras nodded.

"It's only a few minutes in. Want me to start it over?" Enjolras asked and Grantaire nodded, pulling a tank top and pajama pants on.

He sat down beside Enjolras, watching the movie intently and not noticing Enjolras rapid heartbeat and shaky breaths.
