Levi was a year older than me but was such a promising member of the royal army. He was top of his class in combat, but they still needed to be taught about magic and given magical training, which Ryden's father was supposed to have started the morning we left for Earth.
"Would you please signal the other guards to accompany Tryamon here?" I asked him and he nodded, immediately he took out his two-way radio and called the other two guards, one of them replied immediately and they made their way over here with the speed of light.
They brought Tryamon and she fell down onto the chair in front of mother's table, "are you doing alright?" I asked her and she looked at me with such big eyes and I could see the fear they held, "I'm coping," she said, stood up and walked around the table and stopped at the other end where the map was rolling back up at the ends, she picked up one of the paperweights and placed it on to the edge of the map, keeping it in place.
"What are we doing?" She asked and studied the map, tracing her fingers along the lines of the Palace.
"We, my dear sister, are going to perform a locator spell," I replied and opened mother's spell book.
I took a blank piece of paper and a pen wrote the incantation down and handed it to Tryamon, "you will have to help me, as on my own I am not yet powerful enough." I told her and she took the paper from my hand.
She studied the incantation, mouthing the words, "once we have started and you have cleared your mind, like the other day in your apartment, the words will flow out and you will understand them and know what you are saying," I told her and signalled for her to stand by that end of the table.
Levi nodded to the other two guards and they closed the study's doors behind them.
I took my mother's handkerchief and placed it in the middle of the map.
I motioned for Tryamon to follow my lead and she placed the incantation down in front of her and took my hands. We formed an enclosed circle around the table. I looked at her and she nodded.
In unison we started saying the incantation and the handkerchief lifted into the air and floated above the map, we continued repeating the incantation and the handkerchief moved and fell down over the dungeon.
I looked over at Levi, "I thought the guards already searched the dungeon?" I questioned him and frowned, "Yes Princess, they did indeed, but did not see anything!" He replied and I nodded, "well then. It seems that we might need a little more of a perspective eye," I said and let go of Tryamon's hands.
I took the spell book and closed it, walked over to the Lair and opened one of my mother's armoires, on the inside I found an enchanted Planchette, I took it and walked out back into the study. I pushed the dummy book back into place and the bookshelf closed.
"What is that?" Tryamon asked, "it is a Planchette, the little glass enables me to look through it and see things that wish to be hidden," I replied and walked up to the doors, the guards opened them and we marched towards the dungeon.

As we entered the dungeon, all appeared to be normal.
I looked at Levi and he shrugged.
I took out the Planchette and brought it up to my right eye, I squinted and focused. I looked through it and everything changed.
"Mother!" I yelled and ran forward, Tryamon, Levi and the other two guards followed suit.
When my body made contact with the barrier, I was expelled backwards and was flown through the air.
"Shit! There is a force field that traps mother inside of the dungeon and we cannot enter," I said and stood up, wiping the blood from my busted lip, "we will have to break the spell to enter," I told Tryamon and walked up to her. I cupped her face in my palms and rested my forehead against hers.
She sighed and closed her eyes. I felt all of the tension go out of her body and she nodded.
I released her face and stepped back, "Levi, will you please hand me mother's spell book?" I asked and he held it out to me, I took it and sent a silent prayer that I will find the correct spell. I opened the book and looked at the index, an unsealing spell glowed gold and I turned to Chapter 2: Boundry & Sealing Spells. I found an 'Unsealing Spell' and called Tryamon over, we studied the incantation:

Objective: A spell that enables an enchanted door, or something that has been magically sealed, to open.
Incantation: Phasmatos Siprum, Emnis Abortum, Fasila Quisa Exilum San.

We looked at each other and nodded and walked up to the barrier, we held our palms out to it and in unison, we began chanting, "Phasmatos Siprum, Emnis Abortum, Fasila Quisa Exilum San," the barrier began cracking and we repeated the incantation, after the second repeat, the barrier crashed down before our eyes and glass-like shreds scattered before our feet.
I pushed the spell book into Tryamon's hands and rushed over to the cell where mother was kept, the door was locked, "get me the keys!" I yelled and the two guards ran in opposite directions in the search of the key. Minutes later they returned, each with a bunch of keys.
They held the keys out to me and I took the bunch from the first guard, tried the first key, second key and third key and, "Nothing! None of these is working!" I exclaimed and stuffed the keys back into his hands. I took the other bunch from the second guard and tried the first key, but again nothing, tried the second key and the lock turned, the gate opened with a grunt and we ran inside. Mother was propped up against the wall and bound by red glowing chains, her eyes were open and on us all the time, and she could not move or speak.
I kneeled down beside her and caressed her cheek.
"Mother, we will get you out of here and catch whoever is behind this!" I exclaimed and leaned forward planting a kiss on her cheek.
Tryamon came and sat beside her and placed her hand on her knee, "I know we have not yet had a chance to bond, or really talk about everything that has happened,  but do know that I love you and that I will help Aria in any way necessary to catch the bastard who is behind this!" She told mother in a soothing voice and wiped the tear that rolled down mother's cheek.

I walked up to Levi and took the spell book from him, "we need a spell of some sort! I just don't know which one. Goddammit, where is Ryden's father? He would know what to do!"I exclaimed and opened the spell book.
