I woke up and the room was dark and my head was killing me.
I brought my hand up to the back of my head and touched the sensitive spot. When I brought my hand back down and looked at it, my fingers were covered in blood. Mine.
I tried to stand up, but the room started spinning and everything faded to black.
I was awakened by the voice of my father calling my name and when I opened my eyes, he was standing over me and wiping my face off with a cold damp cloth.
I tried to sit up, but he pushed me back down, "no, we need our strength," he said, folding the cloth and putting it on my forehead, "you are running a very high fever," he said and stepped away from the bed.
He went to go and sit down at the other end of the room with his back against the wall.
I looked around the room and frowned, "where are we, father?" I asked him and he sighed, "we are being held captive in a secured and hidden part of the forest," he replied and shook his head.
"By whom? And why?" I demanded and tried to sit up, but I could only manage to prop myself up on my elbows, nausea overcome me and I heaved. My father sprang up and rushed to my side, "take it easy, son. You are not well. Do not worry, I am working on a plan to get us out of here. I am jus-" he said, but I could not focus to listen anymore, I started vomiting uncontrollably all over his shoes. He ran to the basin in the corner of the room and brought me a tin bowl and a cup of water. He held the bowl up for me and caught most of the vomit in it. After I had nothing left inside of me, he brought the cup to my lips and I sipped the water. He helped me lay back down. He went to rinse the cloth out and brought it back to me, wiping my face and mouth, he then took the cloth and the bowl and washed it out in the basin. My eyelids were heavy and I was lulled into a deep sleep.Tryamon
I stood there like a lap dog waiting to be given a command.
I did not know how to do any of this magic stuff and I also did not know what to say or how to command the guards.
Once Aria and I managed to break the barrier, I stood at the back with the two other guards whilst she struggled to open the cell's door.
As soon as it unlocked and she swung the door open, she rushed inside. I stayed where I was, giving her space and time to talk to her, I mean, OUR mother.
It felt too strange having to say that a stranger is my mother. The resemblance was uncanny and obviously Aria and I are identical twins, but my mom and dad back on Earth were my parents and that would never, ever change.
I stood there feeling lost and out of place, when I saw Aria was about to get up and walk over to Levi, I walked over to mother and knelt down beside her. I placed my hand on her knee and looked at her, "I know we have not yet had a chance to bond, or really talk about everything that has happened, but do know that I love you and that I will help Aria in any way necessary to catch the bastard who is behind this!" I told her and brought my hand up to her face and wiped the tear that streamed down her cheek."Tryamon, I need you to come here and help me, please!" She said with a stern and agitated voice. I patted mother's hand and stood up and walked over to where Aria was standing with the spell book in her hands.
She looked at me and held the spell book out to me, "here, take it and see if the book will reveal any sort of helpful spell to break the chains and paralysis spell that has been placed on mother," she said and I looked at her puzzled. I stretched my hands out and she placed the book in my arms, "why me? I know nothing about all of this!" I said to her and shook the book in front of me, "your abilities and powers are different than what mine are, just focus and ask the book to show you the correct spells. Maybe it will work and maybe it will not, but we will never know until we have tried!!" She snapped and I took a step backwards.
She caught herself and stepped forward reaching her hand out, "I am sorry, but we have no time and I cannot do all of this on my own. I need you," she pleaded and patted my shoulder. I nodded and closed my eyes, I cleared all of the thoughts from my mind and focused on my mother and the spell book in my hands. Inside my mind, I saw mother chained against the wall and paralyzed, I then tuned my thoughts and the spell book quickly appeared before me. I envisioned the book opening and the spell we needed was on that page, I saw myself reaching out and taking the open book to look at the page, the number of the page was in the right-hand corner, 73.
My eyes shot open and I opened the book, turning to page 73, low and behold, there it was, the spell we needed - A Metal Destruction Spell
Objective: To destroy a desired object
Requirements: Fire Magic
Incantation: Evit ni et tempozo
"Aha!" I exclaimed and showed Aria the spell, "I have found it, but it requires fire magic, can you yield it?" I asked her and frowned, she studied the spell in front of us, "I know the incantation, but I have never done it yet. But I will try now," she said and stepped back.
The closed her eyes and held her hands out, her palms to each other, "Phasmatos Incendia" she said and a small flame flashed, she opened her eyes and the flame died down.
"Dammit!!" She exclaimed and closed her eyes again, "Phasmatos Incendia" she said once more and a big flame ball ignited in between her palms. She opened one eye and saw the flame, her other eye shot open in excitement and the flame inside her hands grew bigger, "oops," she said and looked at me, she smiled warily, "fire, check. What now?" She asked, "I guess you should say the enchantment?" I said and shrugged. I held the spell book up and she studied the incantation once more, she focused and took a deep breath, "Evit ni et tempozo!" she exclaimed and threw the flame ball in the direction of the chain, the flame ball's size decreased as it neared the chain and struck it from the sides. The chain glowed red and the links snapped, it fell to the ground and Aria and I ran to mother's side. Aria caught her in her arms as she slid down the wall to her side.
