Sophia's POV

It was a few dayslater, and the day of England's final group stage game of the World Cup againstScotland, hosted at San Bernabéu. Phoebe and I were sat inside the stadiumwaiting for the game to start.

"So...you and Declan seemed to be getting on at lunch the other day." I said, asthe two of us took our seats.

I hadn't had the chance to talk to her aboutDeclan since that lunch, so decided now was the perfect opportunity.

"Yeah, he's always looked out for me along with Mase. They've been friendstheir whole lives and they kinda come as a package." Phoebe explained.

"Well, that's true. It was kind of him to pay for your lunch though." I pointedout.

"Yeah, that really did come from nowhere." Phoebe blushed.

"Do you think maybe he–"

"No, no way. He doesn't fancy me, if that's what you're about to ask. He's...heprobably sees me like a sister." Phoebe said.

"And what about you? Do you see him like a brother?" I asked.

"I...yeah." Phoebe hesitated – I didn't entirely believe her, but seeing as I'djust had a notification that the team was out, I decided to leave it there.

"Jordan's in." I told Phoebe. "So are Mason and Declan."

"And the most important player?" Phoebe asked.

"Who?" I frowned.

"Trent. Is Trent in?" Phoebe asked. It suddenly clicked what she meant. Ichecked the team sheet.

"Yes! He's in!" I cheered. "Let me just check if Andy's in for Scotland."

Realistically, he would be – he was their captain, so unless he was injured hewould probably be playing.

"Andy's in as well!" I cried excitedly.

"This is gonna be amazing!" Phoebe exclaimed.

"Isn't it just." A voice piped up from behind me. I turned around to seeTrent's older brother Tyler.

"Oh, hey." I smiled.

"Hendo's sister, right?" He clarified.

"Yep." I nodded.

"I'm glad we're all excited about the battle of the Liverpool full-backs." Tyler said.

"Oh, is that what we're calling it?" I asked, smiling.

"Yep. I can't lie, I was so excited for this at the Euros until Trent gotinjured. I'm so glad we get to see it now." Tyler said.

"Me too." I agreed.

"Right, I'd better go back and find mum and Marcel – I'm sure I'll see youafter the game though."

"Yeah, see you." I replied, before Tyler headed back inside.

Soon enough, theplayers were coming out to warm up. Phoebe and I gave them a loud cheer ofencouragement. I could see Andy Robertson warming up on the Scotland side ofthe pitch.

Before long the players were finished warming up and were headingback inside. From where we were sat we could see into the tunnels and watch theplayers line up. Since Harry Kane wasn't in the starting eleven, Jordan wouldbe captaining the team.

I spotted Andy Robertson and Trent sharing a hug asRobbo went forwards to take his place at the front of the line for Scotland.Him and Jordan were about to have an exchange, however the teams had to beginwalking out.

Phoebe and I gave a huge cheer for the England team. The playersall shook hands before Jordan and Andy went to do the coin toss. They shared ahug and some banter in the process before going to take their positions on thepitch ready for kick off. Soon enough, the match started.
