Y/N L/N SET OFF ON A JOURNEY, that would make her feel as if her life mattered to some extent.
Her small sandals scraped over the concrete sidewalk, her blazing eyes counted the drainages— almost like counting sheep.
Her eyes stayed hyper-focused on them, almost as if she was daring them to jump out at and swallow her into an empty void.
From the past few weeks, she had been through multiple jobs and was just exhausted.
In order to live somewhat comfortably while going to school, she picked up lots of overtime at small cafes or restaurants.
To better her education, she was prone to take mostly medical courses, keeping the fact that her father also practiced medicine. But of course, to her dismay, the top medicine program was being held at 'Yokonora Middle School'.
The place that she never dared to step foot in, her feet got shaky just thinking about that outcome.
As she gathered all of her remaining emotions while walking back to her small apartment, the air around her started to feel heavy... like she was dumped into a pyramid of quicksand— daring to engulf the young pristine soul.
Her breathing started to get rough, and her knees felt as if they would crumble into a thin ashe at that very moment.
Strangers passed by her like a moth to a flame. All continuing to venture to the uprisings of Osaka and Tokyo, ready for their nights of forgetfulness.
After every day she spent here, the girl took note on how to examine someone thoroughly.
Every block she passed, drunks slobbed around, oh how she expressed her sorrow for all the wives who were oblivious to their husbands getting a glorious night from someone whom they are not.
But she does not have one ounce of hatred for the woman forever deemed as "whores", "sluts", or "prostitutes".
If a man sleeps around or throws his body out to whomever, he is just a man. But if a woman sells her body to get by, she is deemed inhumane, and a disgrace to our society.
The young L/N will never understand these atrocious ideologies.
Between her parent's accident and her Aunt Meimei, she was forced to grow up rather quickly.
So lost in though the girl was, that she didn't even noticed that she collapsed.
When she became once again aware, she placed her hand into the one that was outstretched to her.
•Y/N POV•
I was diving so deep into the reality of the busy streets of Kyoto, that I never even noticed I bumped into someone.
Who knows how many people watched such an embarrassing stunt, I must look like I'm high or something.
I placed my hand onto the one that was stationed in front of me, and used my body strength to pull myself up.
I dusted myself off before twisting my gaze upwards to thank the stranger.
I was met with beautiful hazel eyes, the lights from the shops glared into them. I was so captivated by them that we stood looking at one another for a few moments.
I really thought that I was destined to be in a k-drama, so lost in those soft orbs.
Such a short-lived moment.
