A/N: If you remember reading the first chapter called "The library". I have deleted it and decided to start over to set up the story more! Don't worry tho! Even though this is a slow burn you will get some cute moments with Ominis ^^

It was dark, the ground tingled at my feet. Everything was blurred together, a foggy haze resting over the landscape. I was standing in the woods again. The shriveled trees blowing violently in the harsh wind. I wiped around trying to identify where I was. I heard someone wisper behind me.
"Y/n~ Why must you run? You know I'll find you, wherever you hide-"
Not again, This isn't real. I frantically looked around trying to find the body of the familiar voice, trying to stand my ground. As it continued to chuckle and speak, its voice sent chills down my spine.
"Aww- Not up for my games I see... don't worry, we can play later. Hogwarts can't hide you forever." The voice said as a shadow emerged from the thickets in front of me.
Run, i need to run, but I couldn't. My legs were stiff. I couldn't move, I couldn't do anything but cry- I shut my eyes as I could hear them start running forward to get for me. I can't go through this again.
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" I sobbed, yelling as my voice rung out in my own head. I heard them mumbling a spell, i then felt a strong excruciating pain slash across my chest. Then a wave of warm numbness.

I woke up with a gasp to someone yelling. It was Poppy, she was standing at my bedside, she was holding me in one of her arms. There were tears starting to form in her eyes, her face was twisted in fear. Shit- I didn't mean to pull her into this-"Y/n!? Y/n its ok! It was just a dream!" Her voice was brittle and laced with worry.
I quickly look around to check that I am where Poppy says I am. I sigh deeply as I wiped my face of my tears trying not to upset Poppy anymore then I already have. "Im alright Poppy..." I said embracing her. She let out a relieved sigh. I then turned away trying to avoid her eyes, I hated getting people involved in my issues.
She sat down next to me, laying her hand over mine. "Are you having nightmares again...?" She asked braking the silence, her voice soft and comforting. I simply nodded and apologized "Yes...im sorry if I woke you." God how embarrassing....
"Y/n there's no need to apologize! But did you know my own snoring wakes me up?!" she said jessing. I giggled at Poppys silliness. She always knows how to make me laugh. She turned to me a smile now on her face.
Poppy was just one of my friends at hogwarts, we were also roommates. I was friends with her, Garreth, Natty, Ann and Sebastian. We were all in our 7th year together. Sebastian and his uncle had, after lots of research, been able to cure Ann's curse over 6th year.
But I never really when out of my way to talk to anyone of them, I mostly spent my time alone. Except for when Poppy pulled me along to 'socialize'.
Poppy after she made sure I was ok, invited me to join her for breakfast.
"Oh y/n! Would you like to come down to the great hall for breakfast with me?". I looked at the time it was about an hour and a half till classes start. My stomach grumbled- I suppose breakfast does sound good..."Sure Poppy, you go ahead and go I'll meet you there after I get ready."
She nodded and excused herself. I then got dressed, I wore my house sweater and a pair of leggings under my skirt along with my robes. It was a rainy and gloomy day, so it was a little chilly.
I was walking through the halls plaged by my thoughts. I hated that dream, it happened over and over again and no matter what i did it always ended like that. I couldn't run, I was helpless. I heard someone yell my name. What the-? I was annoyed from someone suddenly pulling me away from my train of thoughts, but before I could process it. I was by yanked backwards by my robe.
Im pulled back, the force knocking me into the person behind me. I stumble again before I steady myself. "Excuse me?- what gives you the nerve-" I spit as I turn around seeing Ominis standing behind me. "Don't get snappy with me now y/n. I just saved you from face planting into those stairs." Ominis pointed to the stairs then crossed his arms. His face tinted with anger. Who in the hell does this guy think he is?!
Me an Ominis have never really gotten along, we try to avoid eachother. Maybe because Sebastian showed me the Undercroft in 5th year with out his knowledge, or maybe he jealous of me being friends with Ann and Sebastian. When we would meet, we'd throw snide comments back and forth. Sometimes we'd be civil with each other when Ann was around. We both cared for her and Sebastian, and didn't want to upset them.
"Excuse me, i didn't ask you to help me walk Gunt. Mind yourself pretty boy." I said egging him on with a grin on my face. "Pretty boy?! Ugh! You rather hurt yourself on those stupid stairs, then have me help you?!" He gritted his teeth together, his dusty blue eyes planted on you.
Oof hes got you there..."No!- Well..."You paused trying to think of an excuse "...You could of just warned me instead of pulling me into you!" You shoved your arms together, triumphant.
"I did try you idiot! You were to busy trying to get your self killed to notice!" He snapped, by this point he was fuming. Oh...whoops...I opened my mouth to say something but he beat me to it. "I don't have time for your stupidity today! I've got stuff to do!" He yelled as he started marching away, still clearly pissed off.
I sighed, trying not to stare at Ominis as he walked away, he knew when someone was staring at him. What an asshole...why did he even save me if he was just going to yell at me about it? I continued to walk to the great hall to meet Poppy.
