"That's dumb" I said as i picked up my phone and opened twitter.

"Your dumb" George shot back still trying to fit all the bowls and plates on the side.

George had moved in with Alex around a year ago which i had yet to meet. i had just finished my masters in animation and design technology. i had been studying in Texas for the last 3 years only seeing George a few times.

I opened my mouth to speak but decided against it. "How about you help me then?" He scoffed handing me the bowl of flour. "Happily" i grinned taking everything off the side and putting the eggs in a smaller bowl, the butter next to them, the baking tin on the oven, the icing bowl at the back and the flour in front of me.

"It's not that fucking hard"

-Alex POV-

I walked in to the house kicking my shoes off. "That's what she said" George laughed before grunting. "don't hit me because i'm funnier than you" he scoffed

"Okay sure memeulous" the voice teased before yelping.

"Mother fucker i flew back down to this shitty country and came to see you first over my mother! my own mother! so stop hitting me!" the voice spoke a smile evident in the voice.

The voice sounded more feminine, as her, presumptuously, and George started bickering more i walked in to the kitchen the girls back to me as she mixed something in-front of her.

"Oh Alex! Meet Y/n you know the one who was in the cowboy country?" I smiled as she turned around.

oh, wow.

She smiled at me sticking her hand out. "It's a state, George."  shaking her head we locked eyes "Nice to meet you Alex, i'm Y/n i've heard a lot about you" she smiled warmly as i took her hand.

"shit, sorry about that" she laughed gesturing towards my hand.

"o-oh it's fine" i smiled back some what mesmerised. wiping my hands on my hoodie george looked at me weirdly before turning back to his phone.

"i've heard a lot about you too, you was studying animation?" I asked looking at the girl in front of me.

"Yeah! aw he talks about me!" she grinned looking at george who flipped her off.

She smiled turning her back to me and getting back to mixing.

"Hey Alex could you get me the milk out the fridge please?" she asked throwing me a grin over her shoulder as she cracked three eggs into a bowl.

I nodded passing her the milk as she mumbled a quick thank you splashing some in.

she then added the butter and cocoa powder.

"We're makin- i'm making a chocolate cake." considering you had the stuff.

"I've helped!" George argued

"yeah making a mess" she scoffed and i smiled softly.

"Okay George, can you ice the cake please?" she smiled at him and he nodded putting it into a piping bag.

"yeah, but what are you going to do?" "I'm going to talk to Alex." she smiled and looked over at me. I grinned back and lead her to the living room

"So, yeah i applied for unis all around, mostly in England so you can imagine my surprise when i got accepted to one of the 2 i applied for in Texas" She chuckled crossing her legs.
