Sebastian's POV:
I've hurt another girl's feelings once more. I will keep doing this until 'the one'-Aadriti Mathur meant for me arrives in my life.
People consider me the least accessible person in my circle of friends. I choose to be this way because I desire a relationship with my significant other that is free of misunderstandings.
"Noah, see you tomorrow," I say to him before heading to my car. Across the street, I notice her engaged in conversation with a senior. Their exchange is brief, and her expression soon turns sour as the senior girl shoves past her. The moment she spots me, I settle into my car and instruct my driver to leave. I'm determined to confront that girl for daring to lay hands on what belongs to me. She's the same one who pleaded with me to be her boyfriend on my first day.
Reflecting on the day's events, I noticed during our football match that she was mirroring my every move. Although she may not be familiar with football, her attempt to stay focused was endearing. It doesn't bother me if others don't cheer for me; her support alone is all I need.
Later that night, while I was in bed scrolling through my phone, Noah shared an Instagram post with me.
@6NoahMatisse9 :
Don't need to thank me 😊.
I scoff at his text, "Did he really think I would thank him?" I murmur to myself and click on the post.
It was a group photo of all the computer science majors, taken on their first day, posted by our official university page. As I click to exit, a familiar face catches my eye. It's Aadriti, standing in a corner, holding some girl's hand. 'It should be my hand she's holding,' a voice in my head whispers. 'Shut up, are you seriously jealous of her friend?' another voice retorts. Shaking my head to dismiss the voices, I focus on finding her ID. I tap on the post to check if her ID was tagged, but no IDs were tagged. After gazing at her face for ten minutes, my phone pings with another message.
@6NoahMatisse9 :
@AAdritimathur
Her ID.
@SebastianALLARD:
How the fuck did you find it.
@6NoahMatisse9:
You seriously don't know how to stalk, do you?
Check the comments on the post, Veronica has commented on it.
I clicked her profile and found Aadriti's account.
You know what, you don't deserve a social media account.
Ignoring his messages, I click on her profile. After debating for a while and convincing myself that everything would be fine. I hit the follow button. Throughout the night I couldn't sleep a wink and deliberately check whether she had accepted my request or not.

II was waiting outside her apartment, hoping to offer her a ride today. However, as soon as she left her apartment, she began running towards the bus stand. Without understanding why, I found myself running after her. After covering about 1 km, I realized I had left my car behind. So, I hurried back to retrieve it, but by the time I reached the bus station, she was already on the bus.
Abandoning my car, I chased the bus, tapping on the window and pleading with the driver to stop. Once he did, I boarded the bus to look for Aadriti and found her gazing out of the window.
I sit next to her awkwardly, questioning myself, 'What if she feels uncomfortable?' 'Then she can shove me away but now I need to talk to her'. "Hey," is the only word I manage to utter upon seeing her.
She turns to face me, her shock apparent, then her expression softens into a slight smile as she responds the same.
After a few minutes of awkward silence, she inquired about the Instagram request I sent yesterday.
"What? Oh, yes, yes," I stammered. 'Speak properly, you idiot,' I scold myself mentally.
I hadn't anticipated that she would mention this, but since she did, I figured I might as well ask why she hadn't accepted it.
"And you didn't accept it," I pointed out. I turned my face away, feeling embarrassed.
She said something that I couldn't hear, and then I continued, "We are both the same age," I stated. When I turned to look at her, I sensed her awkwardness, so I decided to change the topic.
Suddenly, I recalled that I had to tell her something crucial, something her parents might not approve of, but she deserved to know the truth. However, fate intervened, and before I could begin, our university came into view, and she hurried off.

"Did you rethink your choices, Seb?" asked the same girl from yesterday in a flirtatious tone as soon as I stepped off the bus.
"Apologize to her and don't you dare call me by that name" I warn her.
"What do you mean, apologize?" she asked, feigning innocence.
"Apologize to Aadriti right now, for your behavior yesterday. Don't make me say it again," I warned her, giving a death glare before walking out to attend my first class.
Being half French, I didn't need to take French classes, but I chose to because she was in them. I lay down for a while, facing the window. Hearing footsteps, I knew without looking that it was her standing there.
"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?" she inquires. In my mind, I jest, 'You can sit on me; no need to ask.' I promptly clear my thoughts of any impropriety.
"Only if you agree to my request," I respond, moving my books aside to prevent her from sitting.
Just as our professor entered, instructing everyone to settle down, I managed to convince her that accepting my request was the only way she could sit. She finally agreed. I spent the entire class grinning in triumph.
As the class concluded, I swiftly stood up. "Aadriti, remember your promise," I murmured into her ear, the fruity scent of berries from her perfume staying in my memory.
I will need it in the future.
With a smirk, I exited the classroom, aware that I had made an impression on her. It might not have been a major one, but it was definitely there.
