Author's note: Part 2/2.
Rome was beyond nervous. He arrived home whit a white, fluffy dog and not long ago, he received a text from P'Pick that he was on the way home. The puppy happily roamed the living room while Rome cooked his boyfriend's favourite food. He didn't know what he thought, picking the stray and taking it home without discussing it with P'Pick first. Vet or not, having a pet was a big decision. How will he even say it to him?
"Here's your favourite food. I love you, and we have a puppy from now on." It wasn't poetic or cute at all.
"So we have a puppy from now on?" Pick's voice echoed from the kitchen entrance, startling him.
"Did I say it out loud?" Rome's eyes were wide.
"You did. Where is our pet?" Pick looked around, spotting the tiny white creature pawning his way towards him. Rome gulped, observing his boyfriend with a shaky breath. Pick crouched in front of the small dog, letting it sniff his hand before he picked it up and stood up. The white, fluffy ball barked happily, and Rome had to smile.
"Aren't you the smallest thing?" Pick cooed at it.
"What's her name?"
"I don't know." Rome blinked, turning off the stove before he walked to them.
"You don't know?" Picks eyebrow raised.
"I found her behind the cafe. The pair she belonged to quarrelled and left her there." Rome patted the puppy, looking at his boyfriend sadly.
"I thought one of them would come back for her. They didn't." Rome pouted. Pick was silent, and it scared him.
"Take a day off tomorrow."
"Why?" Rome asked confusedly.
"We are taking her to my clinic for a check-up."
"And we need to buy a lot of things for her."
Rome's eyes glistened with tears. He hugged Pick as hard as he could without squeezing the puppy, giving him a quick kiss.
"Thank you. I love you, P'Pick."
"I love you too." Pick shook his head.
"So the name." Rome took the puppy from his boyfriend, looking at Pick expectedly.
"You want me to name her?" He asked disbelievingly. Rome nodded.
"Let me eat first," Pick grumbled, walking to the table. Rome followed him, smiling. He pretended not to see the sparkle in his boyfriend's eyes and the fond smile on his face when he placed their new pet on the floor.
