Dear diary, could my life get any worst... I don't have anyone now. I lost my mom, my only family. Twenty-two years all turned into memories or more like haunts. I need to go for a walk that will clear my head. So I leave baby at home and head out the door. It seems like I've been walking for a long time when I find myself at the beach where my mom and I would go to let go of the day. We've been coming to this spot since I was little; as the memories start returning, I feel the tears start coming. How am I supposed to live without her? She was my home, my support when things got hard, and one moment it was taken away from me.

All I want is to see her again and be in her arms. I go to the water because it is the only way to see her again and be happy. Once my feet touch the water and a hand grabs my arm, I'm pulled back, "Hey! hands off!" I turn around to see a not to bad looking guy, only a couple of inches taller than me seems pretty strong too. "Sorry, but you should not go into the ocean fully clothed. You look like you've been crying, so I can only imagen the worst," he said with a slight accent, so he's not from here. "Before you do anything rash, give it a couple of days. A lot can happen. I would pretend to know what you are going through, but this isn't the way. there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, even if you can't see it." " And why should I listen to you? As you said, you don't know what I am going through." "Your fisty, I like that. I got a little time; why don't you tell me what is wrong," he said with a little smile and sat down in the sand. I followed, " I'll tell you, but I don't want your feedback." "Fine, my lips are sealed." "My mom passed away; she is my only family; I don't have friends. I am all alone in this stupid's place." I say in one breath; it feels good to let it all out. I try to hold back my tears, but out of know where an arm goes around my shoulders. "w-w-what are you doing?" " you told me you do not want to hear feedback, so I am offering you a shoulder to cry on. It is okay to cry; it is just us." He squeezed my arm, and I was done for. Everything I was holding back came out. I feel bad for his ears... I said, sort of. "I can't promise that everything will be a hundred percent already but give it a couple of days, okay?" I lifted my head and looked away, wiping away the tears. " I thought you weren't going to give feedback," I said with a smirk. " You see, I didn't say I promised, lol," he said with a laugh. It was a pretty cute laugh. I could help but giggle with him. " Well, I have to get back, but it was good to meet you and save your life, but if we ever meet again, you have to buy me a new shirt," he said with a big smirk. "Ha, well, do I at least get to know your name?" "What's the fun in that? If you are going to recognize me, it should be from my looks and how I helped you," he said with a wink and then walked away. Wow, cocky much. I turn to the water and watch the waves roll up on the shoreline. I must have been there for a while because the sun started to set. So I made the long walk home.

Walking into an empty apartment filled with happy moments felt weird. But at least I have baby to come home to. I take her out, and we come in. I give her a treat, and she lies in her bed. I look at the clock, and it's already 10:00 pm, so I search through the cabinets to see if I can find something to eat, but nothing sounds good. Suddenly, I heard my phone ring across the room, which was weird because my mom was the only one with my phone number. Sometimes I wondered why I had a phone at all. I wasn't allowed to do anything or have any friends. I walk over to my phone and see it's from a different country. Stupid telemarketers, I decide to answer because what else do I have to do? " Hello" 'Hi, is this Hope?" a man said " And who is this?" " Of course, my name is Lee Inchance, your mothers' bro--" I cut him off" Lies, we don't have any family." "I know you think that, but it's not true, just hear me out... in person would be better to talk to you. I have a plane ticket in your name sent to your phone. It would be a pleasure to meet you finally and have you be where you belong." How could a random stranger say this to me and think I could drop everything and get on a plane? I've worked hard to get where I am. "I can't just stop my life here to move somewhere around the world." "Hope all I am asking is a little trust. I promised your mother I would take care of you if anything happened, and I'm here to keep that promise. Just think about it; I hope you come." the phone went silent. A few minutes later, my phone buzzed with all the plane information. It looks like the flight is in two days and is going to... South Korea!! Can I pack a suitcase and leave... that's something tomorrow me can figure out today has been a messed up day, and work will come faster than I would like.

Yup, I knew this would happen. I want to throw my phone across the room and go back to sleep. After everything that happened yesterday, work is the last thing I want to do, but student loans are real. So I get ready, have my breakfast substitute, let baby out, feed her, and go out the door. The bus finally drops me off in front of the university I work at. I'm just a simple cook/baker. I clock in, put on my uniform, get to my area, and start to set up my station, so I get this day--"Ehm," Oh fuck me " Hi Sam, how are you."I try to say with a smile, but I don't know if you could tell if it was fake. "you're late" Damn, I could just slap her. I'm not in the mood for this " By 5 minutes, you know I can't control when the bus comes and goes." "I'm going to have to write you up. If it happens one more time, your time here will be no more. Oh, and your mom dying isn't going to work, sorry." she said with a smirk, a fucking smirk that I've put up with this too long. "Don't worry. You don't have to write me up because your sorry ass can do my job; I quit!" I grabbed my things and walked out the door without looking back. I get to the bus stop and pull out my phone to call my "uncle." "hello" "I'm in. I'll go to Korea." "I'm glad to hear a van at the airport will be waiting for  you." I stay silent for a few seconds. "You better be telling the truth... I trust you." "you have my word. I'll see you soon." I sigh. I don't know, this seems too good to be true, but nothing is holding me here anymore... so what do I have to lose.
