Knock, Knock. "Come in" I opened the door to see Inchance sitting at his desk. After I walked in, I closed the door and sat; he spoke first. "I know you probably wonder why I asked you to come here. I don't know what Hope has told you, but I want to tell you everything I know. Hope only knows a little, But I need you to understand the whole story to ask you to do something for me." He said in a serious tone that I don't think I've ever heard. " Yeah, of course, anything." He took a long breath" Hope is her English name, and her mother made sure that everyone would know her as Hope just in case some came looking for her. Hopes' Korean name is Lee Soo Yun." Wow, that's a beautiful name; it fits her. "what do you mean 'come looking for her'?" "That brings me to the next part... Hope's father is not a nice guy. When Hope's mother was in college, she met an exchange student hows family had just bought out a big company in Korea. He was a good kid and nice to everyone. But over the years, he became more controlling and abusive. He eventually took over the business, and they had Hope or Soo Yun. One night they got into an argument, things got bad, and I got a call saying that she needed to leave, so I helped her leave the country, and only I knew where she was going. "Oh my god, why isn't this guy in jail?!" Inchance lends forward, " I know, Chan, but putting a big CEO in jail is difficult. I wish I had evidence, But I got a call last month from her, and she said she felt like someone was watching her, and she didn't know what to do. And she made me promise that if anything happened to her, I would take care of Hope; a couple of days later, I heard that my sister was in an accident and didn't make it. I don't think Hope's mother's accident wasn't an accident. I went to JYP that day and told him everything as a close friend of mine and asked if he could help me, and that's when he came up with this plan. Hope is my only family now... I need to do everything in my power to keep her safe." He lends back in his chair and lets out another long breath. "I knew something wasn't adding up, But why us," I asked, confused. "You guys are her age or around her age, and there are 8 of you. I need her to be safe, Chris. She is all I have, and I'm paying for her apartment so she can be closer. So please don't take the chef thing too seriously but make it believable until I figure out how to tell her everything. To sum it up, she will be going anywhere you guys go, and if you have to make something up, go for it. I know this is a bog responsibly and a lot to take, but because of this, JYP increased all of your salaries; I trust you."  He said. Well, coming to sit next to me. how does one girl go through all of this and not even know it... " you are right it is a big responsibly and a lot to take in at the moment. Still, I will do everything possible to keep your mind at peace." " Thank you, Chan." he said, wiping away a tear. "alright, you better get back before she tries to come to find you and gets lost." he walked back around the desk. I got up and walked to the door. "thank you, for trusting us," I said, then walked out the door.

I was in my head the whole way back to the studio, trying to process all of the information, and all of a sudden, I heard music coming from the door. This is my studio, right? I opened the door expecting Hope to be doing weird, but she was in there. I walked in more to see that she was in the booth about to sing. I walked quickly to the desk and pushed the button to turn on the mic and record. She started to sing; it was angelic. I didn't think she could sing like this. She got done singing, and I quickly ended the recording. I pressed the button so I could speak, "Wow. you didn't tell me you could sing!". " Ahh! When did you --" "When you started singing, you have a great voice,"  I said, smiling. She made he way out of the booth and sat on the couch. "Eh, I don't know. It's okay. Are you mad?"  she asked, looking down and playing with her fingers. "No, why would I be mad? You didn't do anything but pretend to sing into a mic, haha." I turned around to start working. "Oh hey, what's the name of that song?" I tried to say without being sus. "Oh, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, it's from my favorite movie." "What movie?" "Twilight!" "What's that??" the pure shock on her face meant I said something wrong " You've never seen Twilight?!?" "No" " Well it looks like we are having a marathon!" " There are multiple movies?!" Yup!" she said with an evil grin. "Oh my god, some help me!" I turned back to my computer, laughing.
