"I hate this," I said looking out the window at the woods passing my eyes in a blur. "What's up with just moving a few roads down from Dad?" I asked. My mum and dad had just got a divorce. As part of the divorce, I had to move to a different city, abandoning my old, happy life. I sighed and sunk in my seat. I refused to sit shotgun because I'm pissed with mum.

"I'm not having this conversation again." She muttered.

"This is so unfair." I mumbled.

"Aria," She sighed. I left behind the best boyfriend in the world, Aaron. He was the most incredible person in the world and I missed him as soon as I left the city. My eyes filled with tears as I thought of him.

"Please don't do this," She said, gripping the steering wheel.

"Just shut the fuck up Aria. I'm sick of your shitty complaining and whining. We've all left something important behind." My older brother, Jason said.

"Language!" My mum shrieked.

"I'm sticking up for you Goddamn." He growled.

And that's how the rest of the car journey was like. Thank God I had my headphones. I blasted my music to drown out their voices. We veered into an incredibly giant driveway. I walked out of the car and stood dead in my tracks. In front of me was a giant, white mansion. I grabbed my bags and a short, plump woman in a black and white maid outfit ran out and grabbed them off me. I frowned and pulled them back.

"I am Anastazia, your maid. Please, allow me to take you to your room." She said smiling. I nodded slowly, confused. I turned back to see my mum and Jason. They were smiling at me and telling me to go on. I took a deep breath and walked through the door. I walked down the white hallway, following Anastazia. I saw a huge spiral staircase with a golden banister. Anastazia walked up it and walked me through another hallway. She opened a door for me and I walked in. I almost choked. The room was hude, with a patio door.

"Thank you Anastazia." I said as I walked towards the Patio Door. She nodded and left the room. I opened it and was welcomed to a balcony. I walked onto it and laughed. I walked to the edge and smiled. The garden was huge with a fountain in the middle. It was empty but beautiful.

And that was when I joined the neighbourhood where everything changed.
