"Here we go," Brandon said pulling up to my driveway. I mumbled a thanks, still pissed on his fake heart palpitations. I opened the car door and slammed it shut.
"Aria?" He called and I heard his car door shut. I rolled my eyes and sighed. I turned to face him and crossed my arms.
"What?" I snapped.
"I,' He took a deep breath and ran his hand through his hair. "I'm sorry. Okay, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you angry -"
"You didn't mean to make me angry?!" I said, very angrily. "So you just did all this accidentally? Fucking hell Brandon you really need to start thinking about other people and how you portray yourself."
He stared at me for a good 10 seconds, a complete poker face engraved onto his face.
"I've apologized." He said, eyes fixed on mine.
"Okay. Well thank you for dropping me off home. Bye." I said as walked away from him.
"See you tomorrow Aria!" He called after me. I grunted and walked into my house. Not home. This could never be home.
"How was school Aria?" Mom said, chopping onions.
"You were home?" I asked, shocked and irritated.
"Yeah...?" She said, giving me a confusing look. "Oh, Aria, here you go." She pulled out a white box. "This is from me. It's the new iPhone 6."
"Oh my God!" I growled and clutched my bag before I punched the next thing that moved.
"What's up baby?" She asked, dropping the knife in her hands. She placed her hands on my cheeks and looked for something in my eyes. I shrugged her off of me.
"Get off me." I said and went to walk upstairs.
"Aria!" She shouted whilst I was halfway up the stairs.
"What?"
"Me and Jason need to speak to you." She said. I turned around and saw her at the bottom of the staircase, a sad look on her face. "Now."
Something pinched my heart. The woman in front of me was once a woman I loved with all my heart. She would jump in front of a bus for me, and I would have done the same for her.
I walked downstairs and sat on the couch.
Jason and mom were sat in front of me, staring at me.
"Take a picture, it will last longer." I snapped.
"Bam!" Jason shouted and threw a fist into the air. "10 seconds mom! I win the bet!" He started happy dancing. I was going to kill him.
"Bet?" I asked, confused.
"Shut it Jason." Mom whispered angrily.
"Well, basically me and mom had a bet to see how quick you'd snap. I bet 10 seconds, mom bet 1 minute. She has way too high hopes for you." He laughed and rolled his eyes.
Anger flooded my veins. Mom had an upset look on her face.
Thats it.
"A bet?!" I yelled. "You had a bet over me?!" I clenched my fists down to stop me from beating them both.
"Aria, please, sit down. We need to speak to you about something important." Mom said quietly.
"Aria, please, sit down. We need to speak to you about something important." I mimicked. "No! I'm done with you all! You Jason, you little piece of -" I took a deep breath yet nothing could calm my anger. I screamed and grabbed the vase next to me and slammed it on the floor. Tears flooded my vision, causing everything to go blurry. I could make out the millions of pieces scattered across the floor, then remembered Ana had to clean it up.
