"Can you fight?" I asked Brandon, leaning on the locker near his. He was getting some text books out with a white t-shirt and grey skinnies.
"Yeah why?" He asked, handing me 3 very heavy textbooks. I held them and bit the inside of my lip.
"I wanna learn how to fight." I said, nodding. "And I wanna join the girls Wrestling team."
"Oh really?" He laughed.
"Yeah." I said confused.
He shut his locker door and turned to face me. "Wrestling is nothing like what you seen on your flat screen Aria. This is the real thing."
I shifted around uncomfortably, looking at the floor.
"I want to join the girls Wrestling team." I repeated, lifting my gaze to his. "Whether you help me or not."
"You wanted me to help you?" He asked leaning forward and taking the textbooks off of me.
"Well, yeah." I said, as if it was obvious, which it obviously was.
"You should have just said so then. Come we'll discuss the details as you walk me to my next class." He dumped his textbooks on me and started walking ahead. I read the title to one of his textbooks.
AP Biology.
"Wait." I said, stopping. "I'm gonna be late to my class."
"Please?" He pleaded.
"Fine. But how come you're doing AP Biology?" I asked.
"Why can't I? And this conversation is about you, not me."
"Right." I said, as I followed him round the corner. "So will you help me?"
"Sure. But there's a small fee." He said, smirking.
"But we're friends." I said. "I don't need to -"
"Aria you're gonna be taught by the best of the best. So yes you do need to -" he stopped as he saw the stairs.
"I'm taking the lift." He declared."You're having me on." I said, annoyed.
"No we're taking the elevator." He said and turned around.
"We legit just walked past it!" I groaned. Well not just it was actually on the other end of the very long hall.
"Stop complaining and come on!" He urged. "Training gets harder than this."
The empty hallways echoed his command as I groaned and pulled myself to to the elevator.
"Okay so in return for unlimited training sessions, you need to be my pretend date for my brother. He's coming back from South Carolina and I haven't seen him in like 2 years and I was the loser so I need to show that I am the badass."
"You're not a loser," I said as I bumped him with my hip. "And there's a million and one girls that would love to go with you!" I said as I pushed the button for the lift to take us up.
"Yeah, but they will all get clingy and expect a text back the next day." He said as he stepped into the elevator.
"What so I won't get a text back?" I asked, pretending to sound hurt. "But - but - but-" I stuck out my bottom lip and frowned.
"Shut up!" He laughed and punched my arm lightly.
"Ask Khloe, she's hot." I said, then regretted it. It sounded like I was fishing for compliments and I truly wasn't.
"Yeah but you -" He started. Before he started making me blush I answered him.
"I'll do it, but I have to check with Aaron first. But he's chill so it will probably be a yeah."
