(Y/n) was gathering the things she needed for her next class when someone slammed her locker door shut. She looked up to see the one and only Lila Rossi. She looks mad, (Y/n) noted, probably because of another failed attempt to talk to her. Sighing inwardly, she raised a brow at the girl, "Was there something you needed?"
The other girl looked at the last of the students leaving the locker room, one hand still on (Y/n) locker. When they were the only two left, Lila turned back to her. She finally responded, "Why do you keep ignoring me?"
(Y/n) gave her the most innocent look she had as she tilted her head. "Huh?" She didn't expect to be confronted this early by Lila. Guess she doesn't like people ignoring her, (Y/n) mused, still keeping her innocent look.
Lila looked even angrier but the girl quickly composed herself in a split second. She crossed her arms over her chest and slightly leaned forward. "If you keep ignoring me, I'll take that as a sign that you are against me."
(Y/n) almost burst out laughing at the threat, barely calming herself in time. She gave Lila a smile with a look of confusion, "Hmm? Now, why would I be against you?"
"Because you've been ignoring me, even though I keep trying to talk to you!" The other girl's voice was almost a shout.
"You were?" she blinked innocently. "I didn't notice you at all." This time it was a good thing she put a hand on her mouth for the 'confused' act. Because Lila was seething at the statement, and her hand was the only thing stopping her from giggling.
She slammed a hand beside (Y/n)'s head and glared at her. "Don't try lying to me. I know how to spot liars from a mile away.(Of course you know how to spot liars, you are one. You know what they say, it takes one to know one) And I know you've been ignoring me on purpose." She hissed as she leaned closer, their faces barely a foot away.
(Y/n)'s face broke into a smile which she swiftly shifted to an apologetic one. Oh, man. It's too amusing. "I'm not. Really," she insisted, placing a hand on Lila's shoulder to push her away from her face.
Lila backed away and crossed her arms over her chest again, attempting to look down at (Y/n). "Why did you ignore me on your first day, then?" she straightened her posture and slightly raised her chin when she realized the other was taller than her. "We were in the restroom.''
"As you said," (Y/n) shrugged, "We were in the restroom. I had to do my business." She then shook her head lightly. "Besides, Rose said Mrs. Mendeleiv doesn't like it when students are tardy. You know her, right?" The last part made Lila uncross her arms and contemplate. She squinted her eyes suspiciously.
"Yes, but what about yesterday?"
Another shrugged. "I probably didn't notice you because I was excited. I had plans with my friend. I haven't seen him for a while." It wasn't exactly a lie but it wasn't the truth either since she had seen Luka the day before.
The auburn-haired girl scanned the other's face, looking for anything that hints that she was lying. None. Her face broke into her signature fake smile, "Oh! Was that so?" (Y/n) nodded. "Then, I'm sorry about that. I'm Lila." she outstretched her hand.
(Y/n) shook it, hoping it would make the girl leave her alone already. She had already wanted to get out of there the moment she saw Lila's face. She doesn't like Lila's type of people. The only thing keeping her there was her amusement towards the situation. "You already know my name."
"I do! It's (Y/n) (L/n), right?" (Y/n) nodded once again. Lila hooked her arms with her just as Marinette run past them to go to the restroom. "Let's be friends." Lila excitedly dragged her toward the exit.
