James Potter and Sirius Black were lounging on the couch in the Gryffindor common room, deep in discussion about their latest prank. Remus Lupin sat across from them, buried in a book, while Peter Pettigrew snored softly in an armchair. It was a typical evening for the Marauders.

As they chatted and joked, the portrait hole suddenly swung open, and a figure stumbled into the room, gasping for breath. It was a young woman, with long black hair and piercing green eyes. She looked around the room nervously, clearly disoriented.

The Marauders immediately stood up, their hands going to their wands. They had learned to be cautious over the years, especially with all the strange happenings at Hogwarts.

"Who are you?" James demanded, stepping forward.

The girl took a few deep breaths before responding. "My name is Lyra," she said. "I'm a transfer student from Durmstrang."

The Marauders exchanged a look. They had never heard of anyone transferring from Durmstrang before.

"What are you doing here?" Sirius asked, eyeing her suspiciously.

"I came because I heard that Hogwarts is the best place to learn magic," Lyra said. "I've always been fascinated by the history and magic of this place."

"Well, welcome to Hogwarts then," James said with a smile. "I'm James, and these are my friends, Sirius, Remus, and Peter. We're the Marauders."

Lyra smiled back, relieved. "Thank you. It's nice to meet you all."

They spent the next few minutes chatting and getting to know each other. Lyra was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in the Marauders and their antics.

"Have you heard about our latest prank?" Sirius asked eagerly, his eyes shining.

Lyra laughed. "No, what is it?"

The Marauders launched into a detailed explanation of their latest scheme, and Lyra listened with rapt attention, laughing and nodding at all the right moments. As they talked, James couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. With Lyra here, he had a feeling that their fifth year at Hogwarts was going to be a lot more interesting than they had anticipated.
