There has always a witch in Rosepost. Lurking around, maybe even right under your nose. Witches are not terrible beings in Rosepost. They clear up bad weather, and they replenish crops.
But it has been a month since the last witch of Rosepost, Crizella, got herself killed in a magic accident. Crizella was thought to have a daughter somewhere, hidden away.
A beautiful young woman, she was believed to be. It was her turn to inherit her mother's magic, and others hoped that would bring her out of hiding.
But Vesta Drix was smarter than that.
