You entered the dining hall scanning the empty building for maria who had asked some of the crew to meet her in the morning. "They're out back, (y/n)." One of the dining servers called, pointing his direction to the door behind them. You perked up, greeting him with a smile.  "Thank you." You replied, beginning to walk over to the door. You turned the creaky door knob opening the space they were filling.

"Ah, Good morning (y/n).'' Maria smiled. She shot you a warm look. You sat down next to Jesse who had saved you a seat. "What took you so long?" Jesse questioned you, whispering lowly not wanting to disturb maria beginning to talk. You paused, "Late night." He snickered at your answer. "With duties or a person.." He began.

"Oh shut up Jesse." You laughed, lightly smacking his arm. You faced maria as she talked about this week's loose roster. "So not too many hours, I've been considerate." She explains. You all nod is agreement as she assigns your partners and roles. "So Dina and Jesse you'll do this week in town activities, light on the work just organizing things and Ellie and (y/n) will do the outside duties just clearing up not too far from the walls." Ellie looked over at you promisingly smug. You gave her a look before standing up. She walked over to you. "Guess it's just you and me." She smiled, placing her toned hands on your shoulder spinning you in the direction of the door.

TIMESKIPP

You and Ellie and been talking an awful lot in between fighting off the infected and riding from place to place. It was always nice to catch up with Ellie. She always knew what to say and for some reason always made you feel some sort of way. Dina had teased you that you had a crush on her but you denied it. "Do you need a break?" She asked you. You turned her direction. "Umm, not really im good." You implied. Her face grew slightly embarrassed.

"Damn, after all that fighting your not even puffed. You've got the best arm i know, did you know that?" She complimented. Your face glew a tint of crimson. Chuckling lightly at her kind words.

"Training will do it to 'ya." You replied, walking over to her. The snow fell thinly not too cold either. You wore a long-sleeved t-shirt and some low-rising jeans, covered by a wooly jacket. The unspoken tension began to rise as she wandered closer toward you. Even though you denied it, you did have a thing for Ellie. I mean who didn't? She is gorgeous and annoyingly funny. "Haven't seen you around much." Ellie stated, nervously scratching the back of her exposed neck. "Didn't know you were looking for me."

You began to observe her features. The trail of freckles scattered along the bridge of her nose to her cheeks. Her soft-looking lips complimented her facial structure. Her face lit up. "I should make it more clear next time." She said, scooting closer to you. You looked up at her. "How so." You dragged on. You could feel she was talking to you differently, hinting at something even.

She licked her lips, staring at yours when she did so. Your eyebrows furrowed. Taking a daring large step closer. Your warm bodies were almost touching, aching to feel one another.

"What if I said," she paused, completely regarding your previous question. "I asked Dina and Jesse to get us on patrol together?" You stood still. The cold breeze blew past you as your breathed out. "I'd say that sounds like you." You smiled. "But I'd also ask why." She gulped knowingly,

"Your so pointless." Ellie expressed, caressing your waist with her slender fingers. Her fingers gracefully slid across the smoothness of your skin. You eyed her playfully as she towered over you. "You're a terrible flirt." You laughed, edging closer to her body. She chuckled raspily. "You know you love it." She teased, pulling you in by her needy grip on your side. Her hands slithered to your hips subconsciously rubbing her thumbs. Ellie's green eyes wandered your face. She couldnt help but smile as she starred at you.

She erred closer to you taking in your features. Her lips skimmed your, your own hands laced her toned arms. As your mouths interlock you both instinctively stumbled closer, grasping onto eachothers body. The pace increased, tongues gliding past one another earning a hum from Ellie. Your hands tighten on the back of her exposed neck. Her brunette hair was tied up into a half-up do. Out of breath, you broke the kiss.

Not wanting to part for much longer Ellie pulled you back in this time hoisting you over onto her lap. Both hands on your waist one creeping slightly lower. You kissed her more deeply pushing her against the wood she lay infront of. This time the kiss was faster causing Ellie to lightly let out a groan. Your lips part from hers. Her forehead rest against her. "Patrol together for a whole week." You said. She laughed, "Good."
