CHAPTER 7

In this chapter, Jungkook will learn about his past. I thought I'll make it angsty, but I changed my mind. Learning about his past would be painful for him of course. I want to make it less painful with Taehyung being with him. There won't be a detailed description because then I'll have to write about the past happenings again. So I'll skip the part where Taehyung tells him everything and only write his reaction to it. There will also be a time skip in this chapter.

Jungkook stays frozen in his spot. He doesn't know how to react to what Taehyung just said now. It has been a few weeks since the prince said he has something important to say. Jungkook has already forgotten about that. That's when Taehyung came to him and said that it was time. Even then he thought it would be something about the kingdom as he is now the prince's husband. But this is everything he couldn't even imagine.

Taehyung looked at his husband who was sitting in the bed frozen. He hasn't said a word after this significant information he shared. Taehyung was really afraid of Jungkook's reaction. So he delayed saying anything. But Jin and Jimin reminded him that he should say before it's too late. He was getting worried about the lack of reaction from the younger.

"Jungkook...," Taehyung called him in the softest voice. Jin and Jimin shared a look when there was no reaction from Jungkook. Taehyung looked at them worriedly before he called him again. "Jungkookie, are you okay?" The light touch on his shoulder made Jungkook woke up from his thoughts. He looked up at Taehyung and saw him looking with concern.

"Taehyungie, I..." His lips wobbled, preventing him from saying anything. Taehyung surged forward and hugged the boy tightly. He felt the boy shaking and tears staining his dress. Jimin patted Taehyung's shoulder telling him that they are leaving them alone. Taehyung nodded his head. He rubbed his hands on the boy's back trying to calm him.

Outside the room, Jin sighed "Poor boy thought that his parents left him. This might be too much for him." Jimin nodded his head agreeing to the older prince's words. "I just hope that Jungkook overcomes this situation fastly. Our Taehyung can't really stand the sadness in his husband's eyes." Jimin said smiling, trying to lighten up the mood. Seokjin also smiled upon hearing this, lightly smacking his arm.

Jungkook was resting his head on the prince's shoulder. Taehyung's hands have never stopped caressing the boy ever since he started crying. Jungkook is not crying now. But little sniffles can be heard off and on. Taehyung didn't say anything and they just stayed in that comfortable silence for some time.

Jungkook was the first one to break the silence. "Tae-Taehyungie..." He said, voice cracking a bit because of the crying. "mhm, What is it? Are you okay now, Jungkookie?" He asked, still caressing the boy. Jungkook looked at him slightly parting away. Taehyung brushed his hair strands from his eyes and looked at him with fondness. Jungkook nodded his head.

"I thought they left me there to die. All of these years, I hated my parents for what they did. Every time I have a terrible experience, I blame my parents for it. What I didn't know was that all they did was save their kid before they left this world. They put their son's life first rather than their own life. I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive myself for this, Taehyungie." Taehyung stayed silent when Jungkook was speaking his heart out.
