Next morning, devika was ready in her most favourite yellow dress. She was looking herself in the mirror.
"Kumari, let's go?" Indrakshi asked softly. Devika nodded her head in yes.
"But what will you say to your mother and go out of the palace?" Indrakshi asked.
"I have told mother that we are going on a city tour." Devika replied. "What? But then the queen will send soldiers with us to protect us. Then how can we go there?" Indrakshi throwed one more question at her. She escaped a sigh.
"Indra, how worried you get over small things! Can we go now?" Devika said looking at her. Indrakshi was saying but devika dragged her. They left the room and mitravrinda came and crossed her arms.
"Where are these two going to? And didn't even tell me, wrong thing! now look i will prank them." She frowned. And goes towards them.
They were roaming in city. The city was filled with colorful small shops. Everyone was busy in buying their stuffs. It was a very hot weather. Devika stopped the chariot near hill.
"You all leave now!" She politely said. They three climbed up the hill.
"Now tell me, what did you come here to do?"indrakshi asked smilingly. It was the top of hill. The indus river flowing there can be seen.
"I have come here to see Prince Yudhishthir, this is the highest hill, so his kingdom must be visible from here." Devika said smilingly.
"Rajkumari?" Her voice was breaking due to winds.
"What?"
"My sweet princess! Shivi and Hastinapur are far away, you can not see Hastinapur from here! There is much distance between Hastinapur and Shivi." Indrakshi said to her.
"What? I had waited so long to come to this hill! And now my patience has not paid off." She said sadly. She was looking so cute that their heart melted.
"Patience always pays off dear, but why do you want to see Yudhishthira?" Mitravrinda softly smiles at her.
"Don't know Vrinda Didi, ever since I heard his name since childhood, I have been longing to have a glimpse of him." Devika said looking at river.
"So it means, you have fallen in love with rajkumar Yudhishthira without even seeing him." Indrakshi said highlighting her words.
"Ah, it can't happen, how can someone be in love without meeting too?" Devika exclaimed.
Mitravrinda stays quiet."Why are quiet didi?" Indrakshi asks.
"My Swayamvar is going to be held very soon but I have dedicated my life to Vasudev Shri Krishna!" Mitravrinda said. Upon hearing krishna's name their face lit up. The name of krishna is supreme. And even listening the name their mind was purified.
"So what are you worried about?" Devika asked with a glittering smile.
"But father and both brothers want me to marry Kurukumar Duryodhan. But i denied and lateral they are arranging svyamar." She said lowering her eyes.
"Duryodhana is the cousin of Yudhishthira." Indrakshi added.
"Hmm, But he did a lot of injustice to the Pandavas." Mitravrinda said.
"Waht?" They both confusingly exclaimed.
"Yeah....Yudhishthira is older than Duryodhana, and also the future king of Hastinapura, after his yuvraj Abhishek, Duryodhana sends the Pandavas and their mother to Lakshagriha. The palace they were staying in was made of wax, and Gandhar Raj had a plan to set the palace on fire. And the news also spread in Hastinapur that the Pandavas and their mother had died." Mitravrinda narrated in her smooth tone. They three sit on ground.
"Means, that the Pandavas have died?" Devika asked sorrowfully.
"No." Hearing no her all sorrow extinguished.
"But the wise Vidur ji made the Pandavas and devi Kunti aware of this conspiracy. Rajmata Kunti was very hurt by this, she decided not to go to Hastinapur and they are in the elusive kamyaka forest nearby." Mitravrinda finished her talk.
"Wow sister you are very knowledgeable." They both said in unison. Mitravrinda passed a soft chuckle.
"Please accept my greetings princesses, Queen Mrinalika has summoned you urgently, she looks very angry, please come now." A guard said lowering his head. They three looked at each other and gulped. They all reached palace.
"Princess Devika!" Mrinalika said seriously.
Devika become more scared she thought. "Mother has not addressed me as 'Princess Devika' till date, she always calls me Devika or 'Devi' maa seems very angry today.' She sacredly looked at her."Now the princess of Shivi Pradesh has started lying, does it suit you?" Mrinalika asked glaring her.
"It's okay you lied, but why did you go to the top of that hill?" Mrinalika asked. Devika's voice was breaking due to fear of her mother. Suddenly sahivya came.
"Mother, Devi Didi had a great desire to see the Indus river from that hill. She had a lot of patience but she could not keep it, that's why she left." Shaivya said defending her sister.
"Huh?But she can see the Indus river even on the banks of the Indus." Mrinalika asked.
"She also wanted to see her beautiful and lovely kingdom." Shaivya said sheepishly smiling. Mrinalika nodded and left with a glare.
"From which direction has the sun risen today? you took my side? You enjoy it when I am getting scolded." Devika crossed her arms.
"Oh innocent sister, I was in mood to help you, after all I am so good, what should I do? I was feeling sorry for you." Shaivya said dramatically praising himself. Devika frowned.
"You should be thanking me, i saved you from mata's anger, otherwise you would have been beaten today." Shaivya said with sass.
"Thank you my dear fragile prince!" She said and slapped on his shoulder jokingly and ran away. "Didi!!"
