I walk down the busy street slowly my feet dragging behind me. I didn't know where I was going and was feeling unbelievably tired, not to mention the smell of food was teasing my hungry stomach. I was going in no particular direction when I accidentally bumped into someone, I looked up ready to shout at them when I realized who it was. Who would have thought I would bump into Daichi and Masumi? "Dai-Dai-chan, Teddy-chan what are you doing here" I say with a smile on my face.
"Rei-chan" they say together with smiles rivaling mine and I just nod my head in response. On either side of the ANBU escorts give me weird looks but I ignore them. "It is our little Rei-chan" Masumi says ruffling my hair, "what have you been doing little one". I explain what happened with the Hokage and how I ended up wandering the streets, then they explained how they were going back to the sand due to diplomatic reasons which I didn't fully understand. I noticed the impatient look on the ANBUs so I quickly said goodbye giving them hugs and promising to meet again soon.
I noticed that it was getting dark real quickly and sighed I found a park and sat on the swings and just sat there waiting. It was probably around 9 at night before Kuro showed up but I was too trapped in my day-mares to care. He stands in front of me and carries on reading his book, "good news, I won". I carried on slowly swinging back and forth, the day-mare was gone but the emotion was still raw.
My eyes were glossy but no tears came out I had already used up a lifetime of tears when I was with Him. Kuro sighed and sat on the swing next to mine the metal groaning under his weight, out of the corner of my eye I could see him putting the book back in his pouch. "You should get some sleep" he says but I shake my hand before staring into space again. I couldn't relive that again even if it was just in my dreams.
I heard him sighing again before muttering 'you will thank me one day' under his breath, the everything went black...
