John's POV

I'm tired of this.
I don't want to be perfect.
I want to be me.
But it's been so long, I've forgotten who me is.
I tap on my desk and refocus on the laptop screen.
I need to get out of here. to go away.
No, you don't. You're fine, okay?
Stop being such a wimp.
I ignore the stupid voice in my head.
No, you don't.
Yes. I do.
You're not now.
Ignoring it.
Hudson's School For The Talented.
I stare at the large glowing title on the screen and scroll down.
Welcome to the home website of Hudson's School For The Talented (HTS)! Here at HTS, we provide a safe and social friendly environment for our students. We have many different types-
"Son?"
I slam my laptop shut and spin around in suprise.
Harry grins at me. "What is that, porn?" she says in a perfect mimic of my dad.
" No," I laugh, and let out a breath.
"No, really, was it porn? Hmmmm?"
"Oh, Shut up." She is so immature.
I'm going to miss her, a lot.
Her face becomes serious. "I saw what you were doing." She bites a hangnail. "You're not leaving, are you?"
Great.
"Listen, Harry. I love you, but I just can't be here anymore."
She rolls her eyes and clears her throat, gesturing to my parent's room.
Um...
Oh.
Oh.
I supress a grin. "So why don't you come with me then?"
She mock gasps. "Me? Go there? But mum and dad'll never say yes!"
I pause, tapping my chin and scrunching my face up in 'thought'. "But it would do you so good! Come on, let's go ask together!" I sound like a cheesy commercial.
She silently gives me a thumbs up and tugs me to their door. We both know they heard it all.
My mother gives me a wry smile. "What is it, darling?"
"Pardon me for being so sudden, mum, but can me and Harriet both go to boarding school? I already have a good one on mind, and they're offering scholarships."
I already know what she's going to say:
"Of course, dear! Anything for my perfect little son!"
I need to leave now.

And so, three days later, Harry and I are packing for HST.
