♤Chapter 6♤

》The club was bustling with dancers, drinkers, A couple make-out sessions in the corners of the room. Me and Kat had dodged a good amount of people before seeing Sam wave us both over to a booth against the wall.

A couple Vamps gave sly smirks, looking up and down me and Kats bodies, I only turned and gave them a low growl. They got the hint that I wasn't messing around because they soon both turned to continue talking.

As we made it to the booth, I noticed a small petite girl sitting beside Jake. That must be his girlfriend that I heard was coming, but my thoughts were correct, "Hi Tara!" Kat said, walking over to her as Tara slid out the booth and hugged Kat, "Hi bitch!"

Tara wasn't a Vamp or Shifter, the real looking, fake fangs weren't enough to trick me. "Hi newbie!" Tara moved onto me and brought me into a hug as my arms stayed in the air. I was not a hugger, at all- But I brought my arms to circle around her shoulders because of how short she was.

"Hi-" I managed to say as we separated, "Tara, nice to finally meet ya" She brought her left hand out for a hand shake. I took it, "Jayla"

She smiled up at me and slid back in the booth beside Jake. The booth was big enough to hold only six of us so Sam had slid a two person table over to connect with the Booth.

I didn't move as I realized the last open seat was one of the tables chairs to Colby's right. In front of Kat. I fought the weird feeling in my stomach and sat down.

A waitress came over and asked what we wanted for drinks. I rolled my eyes, taking notice of her very visible cleavage that was facing Colby's way. "And for you?" She turned to me last.

I gave a small annoyed look her way, "A Rum and Coke, three shots" I showed three fingers. She wrote it down before walking towards the bar. Troy got my attention from behind the bar when I shifted my gaze away from the waitresses retreating figure as he saluted me with two fingers, giving me a smirk. I lowered my head, shaking it back and forth while chuckling before bringing my head back up and saluting right back with a smirk of my own.

It didn't take long before we all had our drinks and started up a conversation as we took in the alcohol. "That guy was crazy, seriously" Jake finished as the rest of them laughed, All but me and Colby.

The music changed. Kat stood up, "Sam, come on!" She laughed as she got up, yanking Sam to the dance floor. "Let's go!" Tara pulled Jake along. I looked over to Corey only for him to be gone. I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion but Colby had pushed my chin to face the dance floor seeing him with a girl already out there.

"Huh, That didn't take long" I softly spoke. I hummed, shrugging my shoulders before taking the last sip of my drink.

I felt a small gust of wind before I looked up and saw that Colby had gotten up and was holding his hand out to me. "Sam won't shut up about it" He grumbled. I chuckled but grabbed his hand. Even though Vampires were cold, his hand felt- warm..

He pulled me out of my seat and to the dance floor, I laughed as he practically dragged me over and I had almost tripped a couple times over my own feet. I did notice a hint of a smile on his face.

"Yea Jayla!" Kat popped up beside us in Sam arms before they danced away. I chuckled and looked up at Colby. I had a genuine smile on my face. This is the happiest I've been in a long time. But I was also nervous. I didn't think I was ever good at dancing.

But when Kat popped up, again, beside me and hit my hip with her's, and encouraged me more, I finally decided to just go with it. I started with a small dance, moving to the left and right before spinning in a circle, looking up to the ceiling and laughing. I moved my hips to the beats of the song as it played in the background.
