"Wasabiiiiii! I'm tiered!!!!" You whine and spin in the chair. He ignored you and continued focusing on his project.
He looked through a microscope and was trying hard on something. You didn't know or really cared all that much, to be honest. You didn't know anything about robotics or any of that mumbo jumbo. You just stayed here to hang out with Wasabi.
Wasabi and you have been good friends since you were in middle school. And you were in high school when you finally realized you have a huge crush on him. You love how he wanted everything neat and orderly. You thought it was adorable when he would get excited when he accomplished something in his nerd school. You thought it was a little funny how he could scream like a girl.
If only he felt the same way about you.
"Please! I'm dying!" He rolled his eyes at you.
"Y/n, please stop being so dramatic." He said. He looked up at you as leaned back in the chair, arms crossed, and your pouty face in full gear. He chuckled.
"You're adorable." He said. He then got up, pushing the chair back with his legs. "Fine we can leave after I straighten up." He said. He pushed in his chair and made sure everything was perfectly was in its correct spot. After looking around his unbelievably neat lab he grabbed his jacket.
"Come on, you big baby." He said waving his hand at you to follow. You hopped up from your chair and followed.
"Finally," you grumbled. You two exited the school and headed down the sidewalk toward Was bi's car.
While walking, you were unaware of Wasabi staring at you from the corner of his eye.
You h/l h/c almost glowed in the moon light. A slight wind tousled your hair.
To him, you were beautiful. Inside and out. he wanted to reach out and take your hand but he didn't know how you would react.
When the two of you reached the car, he unlocked it and got in.
"Can I pick the music, Wasabi?" You asked as he pulled away from the school.
"No." He said, focusing on the road.
"Aw, please?! You never let me pick!" You say.
"Exactly, so what makes you think I'm going to let you pick now?"
You huffed. It was silent as he drove the way to your house. he was about a mile away when the car started making a really bad clanking noise. You look at Wasabi with raised eyebrows but he just looks at the engine in confusion. Then, all at once. The engine cuts off. The car is now just rolling slowly. Wasabi pulls to the side of the road and gets out. You get out too and stand beside him as he lifts up the hood. As soon as its opened, a gust of black smoke his up. You both cough, waving your hands in front of your face, as if to make the smoke go away.
Wasabi spends about ten minutes checking out the smoking engine when you finally get bored and go sit against the wall and lean your head back, closing your eyes.
~
"Y/n. Y/n! Y/n" A voice wakes you and you look up to see Wasabi, standing with his hands on his hips.
"The engine needs to be fixed." He said. You got up and brushed your butt off.
"Gee, you think?" You say sarcastically.
"Well, Sassy Sally, if your done sleeping on a filthy wall, I would like to take you home." He said.
"How?" You ask pointing at the car.
"The old fashion way." He said as he got his jacket from the car. he shrugged it on and walked to you.
"Walking?" You ask in a fancy british accent. "Why, that activity they used in the olden days?" He chuckled and pushed your arm playfully. He stuffed his hands in his pockets as you both walked down the sidewalk in the direction of your house.
When a rather strong gust of wind blew you shivered.
"Cold?" He asked as he took off his jacket. You looked at him as he put the jacket around your shoulders. You giggled.
"Very cliché, my nerd friend." You say pulling the jacket closer around you. he shrugged and put his arm around your shoulders. You blushed.
"Oh well." He says.
"I'm surprised you didn't have tools in your trunk, Wasabi. You usually come prepared." You say slyly.
"My dad had to use them last night. I just forgot to put them back." He said sheepishly.
"And you're just going to leave your car there where anyone can take it?"
"I locked it."
"I'm pretty sure that won't matter if he has a crow bar, Wasabi."
"Well, what else can I do?" He says.
"Good point." You walk in silence again. When your house came into view, Wasabi began to have a epic battle in his head.
I really should tell her now. We're alone for once.
But what if she doesn't feel the same way? I should just wait another time to tell her.
But the moment is perfect! Just tell her! Before she gets home!
Argh!
You walked up the driveway and onto the porch with Wasabi's arm still around you. You suddenly stop and turn to face him with your arms crossed. He stops with a confused expression.
"Whats wrong?" You ask.
"Nothing." He lied.
"You're a terrible liar, Wasabi. Whats wrong?" You ask again.
"He runs a hand down his face and then rubs his neck.
"Um..." He hesitates.
"You know you can tell me anything, right? If something is bothering you, I want to help." You reach up and lay a hand on his shoulder. He looks down at you, biting your lip.
Then, you felt a pair of warm lips on yours. You stiffen in surprise but quickly respond by kissing him back. He pulls you tighter to him with one hand as the other runs through your hair.
"He pulls back suddenly and whispers,
"I love you." Before pulling you back into another kiss.
