Sitting on Tadashi's bed, you engulf yourself in your book. You love literature. It's your passion, your only love.
Well, that's not completely true, actually. There is a certain nerd you would do anything for.
Your eyes moved across the page with ease as Tadashi comes in the room.
"Y/n, tell me why you come to my house just to read?" He asks with a chuckle. Not looking up from your book, you answer.
"Well, you know how my house is." You quietly. Tadashi is silent. You glance up from your book. Tadashi is staring at you with sad eyes. He knows all about your abusive family, about the depression, about everything. And he stills cares.
You remember when you met Tadashi, in the Lucky Cat Café. The year was 2018 and you had once again escaped your family and reality into the fantastic world of literature where anything was possible.
"Hello." You jumped in your seat and looked up quickly to see the one and only Tadashi Hamada.
"Um hey." You say shyly, looking back down at your book.
"May I take your order?" He asks. You look back up at him.
"Oh! Oh, no thank you. I don't have any money." You say politely. He chuckles.
"Watcha reading?" he says leaning over to look at the book. you show him the cover and he sees it's (Favorite Book).
"Oh, thats cool. I read that too!" He says cheerfully.
"Really?" You ask delighted.
"No, I'm just kidding." he chuckles.
"Oh," you say and blush but chuckle too. You nervously push a lock of h/c behind your ear. A boy has never talked to you for this long before...
"Well, would you like me to get you something?" He asks.
"I told you, I don't have any money."
"Don't worry about it. It's on the house." he says. You smile and tell him you would like a doughnut. When he comes back he also has a piece of paper with a number on it.
"This is my number." He says. "Call me, and we can hang out or something." He pauses. "That's if you want to, I mean." Your stunned. A boy wants to hang out with you?
"Um, o-ok." You say taking your book, the doughnut, and the piece of paper with you.
After that, he introduced you to his little brother, Hiro, and all his friends. His friends would always joke, calling you a bookworm and such. For your 17th birthday, they made you a giant cake that looked like a Harry Potter book.
A few months after that, Tadashi finally asked you to be his girlfriend. When you both told Aunt Cass and Hiro, Hiro shouted, "Well, it's about Time!" Making Tadashi laugh and you blush.
That was the best day of your life.
"Y/n." Tadashi's voice brought you back to reality.
"Sorry, I zoned out." You say looking back to your book. You heard Tadashi huff.
"That's it." He muttered and walked over to you, took your book, cupped your face with one hand and kissed you. You were surprised, of course, but gave in almost immediately. there was no denying this boy. When he pulled back, his eyes were full of an emotion that made your heart leap.
"You are going to have to stop biting that lip." He whispers against your lips. "We are going on a date night tonight. Where something pretty." he kissed you again, then left with your book still in his hand.
