Mewtwo Strikes Back part 1

Narrator: Life, the great miracle, and, the great mystery. Since the beginning, humans and Pokémon alike have searched for its meaning. Many strange and wonderous legends evolved from the pursuit of life's mysteries. But none as stranger then this tale of the most powerful Pokémon of all.

Inside of Mewtwo's stasis tube he opens his eyes and sees the scientists that created him.

Mewtwo: Where, am I? This, this is not the same. Was everything before, just a dream? Why?

As Mewtwo closes its eyes, and fades back in on the outside of the tube.

???: Doctor, look at this.

???: What?

???: Its brainwaves, they're surging!

The scientists start rushing around as Mewtwo listens and opens its eyes again.

Mewtwo: Those voices. They're outside. Where I must be.

Soon, Mewtwo taps into its psychic powers for the first time and causes the chamber to crack and eventually shatter, to the shock of the scientists.

???: Radio Giovanni's helicopter, tell him what's happened!

???: Quiet! Let us hear its psychic powers.

Mewtwo: Psychic, powers?

???: For years we've struggled, to clone a Pokémon to prove our theories. But you're the first specimen to survive. (points to a picture of the stone Mew picture from the ruins) That is Mew, the rarest of all Pokémon. From its DNA, we created you, Mewtwo.

Mewtwo: Mewtwo? Am I only a copy? Nothing but Mew's shadow?

???: You are greater than Mew. Improved through the power of human ingenuity. We used the most advanced techniques to develop your awesome psychic powers.

Mewtwo: So, I am simply the end result of your experiment. What becomes of me now that your experiment is over?

???: Oh, our experiment isn't over yet, it's just beginning. Now the serious testing begins.

Mewtwo starts thinking to himself, looks down at his hands and thinks about Mew as the scientists congratulate themselves.

Mewtwo: These humans. They care nothing for me. Is that my purpose? Am I just an experiment? A laboratory specimen? (starts glowing from tapping into its powers in anger) This cannot be, my destiny!

Mewtwo's power starts causing the other tubes to crack and shatter. He then proceeds to blow the scientists back with his power and destroys the cloning machine. Multiple mechanical arms grab Mewtwo, but it destroys them with relative ease, along with the other equipment and machines as the scientists try to flee for their lives, while the head researcher just lays next to a wall, shocked and somewhat frightened by what they created, that being a monstrously powerful Pokémon, as Mewtwo parts the fires around him.

???: We dreamed of creating the world's strongest Pokémon, and we succeeded.

As the scientist says his final words, Mewtwo uses his powers to destroy the entire facility, which is revealed to be on an island in the middle of the ocean. Soon, Giovanni's helicopter arrives as Giovanni himself and his Persian look down at the destruction.

Mewtwo: Behold my powers. I am the strongest Pokémon in the world. Stronger, even, than Mew.

Giovanni soon lands and approaches Mewtwo.

Giovanni: Those fools thought you were a science experiment. But I, I see you as a valuable partner.

Mewtwo: Partner?

Giovanni: (nods) With your psychic powers and my resources, together, we can control the world.

Mewtwo: I do not need your help for that, human.

Giovanni: A wildfire destroys everything in its path. It'll be the same way with your powers unless you learn to control them. I can help you do that.

Mewtwo: How?

Giovanni: Trust me, and I'll show you a way to focus your powers that will make you invincible.

Mewtwo: Show me.

Giovanni chuckles and the scene transitions Mewtwo getting some armor put on him.

Mewtwo: You say this armor protects my body, yet it suppresses my powers.

Giovanni: Your powers are not being suppressed, they're being focused. Learn to use them to accomplish your purpose.

Mewtwo: What is that?

Giovanni: Patience, my friend, your purpose will become clear.

Soon, Mewtwo is in the Viridian City gym and seen going up against an Onix. Giovanni snaps his fingers, and the Onix is sent flying into the wall via Psychic.

Mewtwo: So, THIS is my power.

Later, a herd of wild Tauros is seen charging, but Mewtwo lifts the entire herd with relative ease, allowing some Team Rocket thugs to catch them.

Mewtwo: I am in control now.

Later, Mewtwo is placed in another gym battle, this time against another psychic Pokémon, Alakazam. However, Mewtwo's power is proved to be far more powerful than Alakazam, when it manages to bend Alakazam's spoons and sends it flying into the wall. Then it battles and defeats a Magneton, and then it is seen defeating Gary Oak's Pokémon.

Mewtwo: But why am I here?

It soon fades in on Mewtwo's armor prep room.

Mewtwo: Now I fully perceive my power. But, what is my purpose?

Giovanni enters the room.

Giovanni: To serve your master. You were created to fight for me. THAT is your purpose.

Mewtwo: That cannot be. You said we were partners. We stood as equals.

Giovanni: You were created by humans to obey humans. You would never be our equal.

Mewtwo: Humans may have created me, but they will never enslave me! This cannot be my destiny!

Mewtwo starts unleashing his powers and begins to destroy the machinery he's connected to.

Giovanni: Stop this, now!

Mewtwo: I was not born a Pokémon, I was created. And my creators had used and betrayed me! So, I stand alone!

Mewtwo unleashes more power, causing Giovanni to run for his life, and then he proceeds to destroy Giovanni's entire headquarters and fly away, destroying his armor. Mewtwo then returns to the island he was created on and removes his helmet as he stands in the destruction of the lab.

Mewtwo: Who am I? What is my true reason for being? I will find my own purpose. And purge this planet of all who oppose me. Human and Pokémon alike. The world will heed my warning. The reign of Mewtwo, will soon begin.
