The team of Mighty the Armadillo, Captain Rex, Proto Man, and Funky Kong had been on a mission to stop a group of rogue robots from causing chaos across the city. As they worked to dismantle the machines, they received a transmission from a mysterious figure.

"Hello, heroes," the voice said. "My name is Sigma, and I have a proposition for you. Join me, and together, we can rule this world."
