The Cross (Part 1)

     I was on my way to go with my friends to some Angel tree they said that JJ found out the cross is there. Pfft like I would believe that JJ found it. I love him but I'm gonna admit he's not always the smartest.
     As I was packing my bag I got a text from Kiara saying that their outside. I responded with "kk coming".

    I ran outside and shut the door behind me. I hopped into the Twinkie and sat down next to Pope and Kie while John b was driving and JJ was in the passengers seat.
"hey y/n we still gotta pick up Sarah" John b informed me "kk" I responded as I looked over at JJ who was already looking at me. "Goodmorning cupcake" he said with a smile "Goodmorning JJ" I said with letting a small laugh out through my breath.

    We pull up to Sarah's house but she's not answering her phone
"Sarah's not answering could u run in there and get her real quick" Jb says looking at me
"why's it always me" I say with a sigh as i get out and run towards the door

I try to open the door but it's locked so i knock instead. I wait for a second and then the door swings open i look up to see Rafe Cameron, Sarah's brother.
     "Oh hey y/n what brings u here" he says with a slight smirk. "Cut it out Rafe I js need to get Sarah really quick" i respond not having time for his games. He js looks at me not moving from the door "so can I come in?" I say motioning for him to move away from the door frame. He moves slightly so I push past him "I didn't hear an excuse me" Rafe says pushing his tongue on the inside of his cheek. "Rafe where is Sarah?" U ask "she's in her room I think" he finally answers. As i walked up the stairs i couldnt help but feel his stare on me.

     I go into Sarah's room and she is on the floor looking under her bed. She reaches under and grabs something. i motion for her to come to me and then I grab her wrist and pull her downstairs . As I'm about to go through the door i see Rafe looking at me and he smirks and waves as i walk out. As much as i didn't want to admit it I felt something when he talked to me and looked at me but I had to ignore it cause he's js a kook right?

     We get into the Twinkie and they all start asking what took forever and why Sarah wasn't answering her phone. "Rafe wasn't letting me in so it took kinda long sorry" I said "don't be sorry it's not ur fault that Rafes an asshole. No offense Sarah" Pope says "none taken my brother is an asshole. also sorry I wasn't answering I couldn't find my phone it was under my bed" Sarah says. "How does ur phone get under ur bed?" JJ questions Sarah "i don't know to be completely honest" Sarah says shrugging her shoulders.

     We start driving to the Angel Oak.
As we get closer I hear JJ say "oh shit tides coming in" so I get up and look so see tire tracks in the mud. "They must've already came thru here" John b says. After some bickering they decide to drive thru it. We made it so we park the Twinkie and get out. "There's a gator nest back here don't wanna step on a mama gator" JJ says in a hushed voice.

TIME SKIP

(we reburied Denmarks wife and found the church)
In the church Pope is climbing the walls and is on top of some pillars he asks for a crowbar so i go outside to get one from the truck. As i walk to the truck u feel like ur being watched so i look around and spot Rafe. I walk over to him "what are u doing here Rafe?" I ask "I could ask u the same question cutie" he says with a smirk on his face. I start to walk away but he grabs ur wrist which keeps u from walking any further. "Y/n wait, have u guys found anything?" He asks looking into ur eyes "not yet why have u?" I asked back "idk but u should join my team we can find the cross together" he says with what looks to be a genuine smile. "Rafe... u know I can't do that. Why do u want me on ur team anyway" I asked wanting an answer "never mind it doesn't matter anyways" he says as his smile fades. I walk away wondering what his intentions r.

I walk back into the church and throw the crowbar to Pope. He takes the wood off of the hollow pillar to reveal a gold cross. I can't believe it was rly here, we actually did it. As we all stood there in awe JJ hugged me and whispered "we did it" he let go "WOOO WE DID IT" JJ yelled in excitement. Everyone started to show their excitement as well.
But all of a sudden Pope was getting stung by bees and then he almost fell, he was hanging on to the wood but he couldn't hold on much longer so we all took the cushions and piled them up. When he fell we all rushed over to him then the cross fell so he rolled out of the way. The cross was beautiful it's gold plated and has gems everywhere. (Pope started to get an allergic reaction) Me and JJ hid the cross with the cushions but the others were rushing us so we ran out of the church. Then I remembered that Rafe was out here earlier and I didn't want him to get the cross so I asked JJ "why don't some of us stay here so nobody takes the cross you know?" I say "ur right but they'll never listen" he says shrugging his shoulders. He turns around and starts so walk to the truck I on the other hand look around for Rafe. I hear rustling so I walk towards it and I see Rafe crouched behind a bush. "Rafe" I whisper "what r u doing here anyways?" I ask him "same as u I'm here to get the cross" "i know that you've found it" he continues "pls don't take it Rafe" I plead "what r u gonna do if I do..." he says with a smirk on his face "I guess I'll js have to take it back from u" I say trying not to react to the comment he js made "Y/N" I hear them calling me. "Rafe go home. Pls don't take it. I'll owe u" I say as I begin to walk off "make me" I hear him say as I got farther from him.

Ok guys so this is chapter 1 let me know how it was and what u guys would like different and stuff. Also does he stick to the show and take the cross or does y/n change him?
