"Zenith! Hurry the fuck up!" Yells break your comforting silence, as you finish packing the rest of your stuff. You have been accepted to take over the spot of a now ex guitarist of a band. Ghost, that was what they called themselves. You had to move in, with them, and packing yourself was a lot of stress for you.

You were the kind of guy who liked silence, peace. People scared you, if you were to be honest. But at the same time, you feared being alone. And agreeing to play in the band was a silly act, that started as a joke. You didn't mean to. Or did you?

Amongst every other ghoul that you've met in hell, you seemed different. Maybe you were born not the right element. Maybe you just didn't belong there. Moving out would be a good idea in that case. There's one little problem.

You've never been into mortal world. You've never seen a human. Out of the stories you've heard, they look quite similar to you, ghouls. But you were nervous nonetheless.

A hard hit on the back of your head snaps you out of your thoughts. You have zoned out into your own little world again.

"Zenith! Get your shit, 'cause you're gonna be late otherwise! For fucks sake, do I have to tell you how to do everything?" Your friend yells, making you quickly get up, and pick up the bags with your stuff. Your guitar, of course, was what you paid the most attention to.. "I really, really! Deserve a fucking break, 'cause you act like a damn kid! I need to tell you everything!" The ghoul beside you growls. It was Blaze. Your best friend, and the only ghoul you really felt comfortable with. He was a little hot-headed, and tended to be angry at everything, but he was your friend, no?

"Yes.. Yeah. Just stop screaming, please." You murmur, heading out of your room. Blaze followed.

"I really wonder how shits boutta go up there, y'know? I can bet my horns that after less than a month you'll return, crying, because someone talked to you, and you didn't know how to answer, am I right?" Blaze grinned, and you glared at him in response.

"Piss off. I won't! I'm not like that." You are.

Blaze snorts, and before you know hit, his hand hits your back, knocking all air out of your lungs, making him laugh even more.

"Dick." You grunt.

"Now, now, don't get mad. It's a goodbye gift before you leave." He stuffed something in your bag. "Don't open it until you're safe and sound in the clergy. Or wherever you're going... I'll miss you. Really. Everyone here will miss you!" He pulls you into a tight hug, nearly choking you, but you doubt his words.

"Miss me? Everyone? Pff, is it first april already?" You chuckle, getting out of the hug. "Besides, I'll be fine. I won't do anything stupid."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

You're here. At the clergy. The awkward silence that fills the dining room makes your heart beat faster.

"Soo..." You force a nervous smile, luckily for you, the mask hides it. Your anxiousness is not made any better after another ghoul glares at you, while leaning on the table.

"Be quiet, will you? Damn Omega wannabe." He growled, his tail flicking nervously.

You gulp, stepping back. He was not friendly. And that didn't seem like it would change anytime soon. Maybe this was a mistake? Maybe you shouldn't have..- Your thoughts are interrupted by someone entering the room. Was it Papa? His body, under a black cloak, with purple lining, and golden details sewn onto it. He didn't look like any of the ghouls in the room. Was it premium ghoul or something? Fancy ghoul? Super ghoul? Or maybe it was-

"Listen to me when I talk to you!" You are yet again snapped out of your thoughts, seeing the man, across the table before you, leaning on it. His face, a rather pissed expression. You could feel the not so nice ghoul from earlier, straight up glaring at you with bitterness.

"Oh. I'm sorry, I didn't hear what you said..?"

"I..-" That look on his face. Disbelief, mixed with annoyance. "Satanas... I asked you to kindly introduce yourself to the rest of us here!" He sat down, in the chair beside him, hands formed into fists. "I am really, REALLY not in the mood, so be a good fucking boy and dont make this any harder."

Your body, freezed by his words and cold glare. Your heart beating so fast, and you were barely able to take a breath. He truly was intimidating. Maybe you... Wait. What did he call you?-

"Oh! Oh.. Right, right. Sorry. I'm Zenith! And uh... uhh... Yeah?" You stammer, and by the looks of it, you were in deep shit right now.

"Ok. Atleast you told your name... Zenith. This is Alpha, O... Water, Earth, Air, and me." He pointed the ghouls in the room. "You will be our new rhythm guitarist." You nod, he sighs, and gets up. "K, now come with me, I'll show you your dorm."

Maybe he wasn't as bad as that ghoul. Maybe he was close with the previous rhythm guitarist, and was angry about him leaving? Or maybe he just had a bad day? You catch up to him, and he leads you out the dining area, into another hall.
You could sense that he was not in the best mood. Maybe it was how you thought. And he was just in a bad mood... In that case, maybe you can befriend him, or something? He'll feel better, surely.

"So.."

"What now?" He sighs.

"Uhh... Nothing. I just wanted to try starting up a conversation..."

"Well then you've just made it awkward."

"Yeah. Right... It wouldn't be awkward if your moody ass would know how to greet a newcomer..." You mumble, and immediately feel eyes on you. You force yourself to look up at him.

"What did you say?"

You tense up. You did not say it out loud, did you?

"Nothing? I said nothing." He squints his eyes, making you look away. The rest of the walk is quiet, and awkward. All you could year was your bags rubbing against your clothes, and your shoes clicking on the marble floor. You began to wonder if you could do a waterslide on those shiny marble floors. And how often do they clean it, to keep them that shiny. Your mind being occupied by thoughts again, and as you wonder about if it's possible to eat off them, since they're so clean, you bump into a wall.

"Fuck!" You grunt, and the pope behind you starts quietly laughing. You turn, hissing. "You could've stopped me from going into a wall!" You growl, rubbing your head.

"But I didn't. And I have no regrets. Anyway, this is your dorm. You'll sleep here and.. do whatever you want. Unpack yourself, or whatever, just dont be too loud. I'll send a ghoul to fetch you once it's dinner time. You should have up to three hours before so. Make sure to be ready. And here's the key." You grab the key he hands you, nodding as he rants about whatever he rants about. Finally, he leaves you, and you enter your room. Now it's time to unpack.
