• Roguefort, Earl Grey and Eclair are all related.
• The Chess Choco siblings were put up for adoption by White Choco. She felt like she couldn't care for two children while handling her fencing career, leaving them both at the orphanage to try and give them a fighting chance. She went on to pursue her fencing dreams, while the twins ran away to the Grandmaster Hotel, being adopted by Earl Grey, who was in college at the time.
• Roguefort babysits the Chess Choco twins often.
• Earl Grey divorced his partner because he turned out gay. This was a joke between me and a friend, and I took it literally.
