The sudden jolt of the boat caught me off guard, and I let out an involuntary groan as my side collided with the nearby table.
"I can't believe I didn't break a rib from that impact," I muttered as I slowly got up, rubbing my aching side. Nico, who was steering the boat, looked apologetic as he explained, "Sorry about that. This is our first time sailing a boat, and we're still getting the hang of it."
Despite my discomfort, I couldn't help but chuckle at his honesty. "Don't worry about it," I said, giving him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "If it makes you feel any better, I don't think I would have done any better if I were in your shoes. Sailing is no easy feat."
Nico seemed to relax at my words, but Rico, who was lounging in the back of the boat, couldn't resist making a snarky comment. "Oh, I don't doubt that," he said, smirking. "I bet if you were the one sailing the boat for the first time, we would have crashed and burned."
I shot him a glare, but couldn't help but smile at his playful banter. "Without a doubt," I said, shaking my head. "But luckily for all of us, I wasn't." I stated glancing outside the boat.
I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. I was excited for the new beginning, but also nervous about what lay ahead. What if we were caught? What if I couldn't adapt to my new life? The twins noticed my unease and reassured me that everything would be fine.
"This is so no one will recognize you." The twins then transformed my appearance, making me look like a thug with their choice of clothing, hat and shoes.
I was then lead into a hair salon, I couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension. My long, thick black hair was not only a defining feature of my appearance, but also a source of pride for my mother, father, and especially Dimitri.
Whenever we were intimate, he would often twirl his fingers through my locks, making me feel cherished and desired, not that I cared anymore. I knew that it was time for a change. I decided to try a lace short blonde hair at the salon.
The stylist recommended it and it turned out to be a perfect fit. I felt liberated and grateful for the new look, which allowed me to express myself in a fresh and exciting way.
After the hair makeover, the twins helped me acquire a new identity and passport. "What should we call you?" Rico asked, as we discussed possible names for my new persona. I thought about it for a moment before sticking with the name "Rena."
The twins had a lot of connections for one which I could see. With my new identity we managed to easily enter Italy.
They then took me on a shopping spree to pick out some stylish clothes that matched my new hairdo.
We then went grocery shopping and then stopped at a mall to grab a bite to eat, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for their kindness and generosity.
After our task was completed, the day had already turned to dusk and the surroundings seemed to have lost their vibrancy.
The setting sun cast a soft golden light over everything, creating a peaceful ambiance that contrasted with the bustling energy of the daytime. As we made our way out, I couldn't help but feel a sense of melancholy at the passing of yet another day.
The twins then led me to a beautiful apartment that they had arranged just for me. "Here you are, princess," Nico said, holding open the door with a smile. I was stunned by the luxury and comfort of the space, feeling grateful for their thoughtfulness and generosity.
"Woah!" I gasped in shock.
"If you don't like it we could always go house hunting-" I immediately cut Nico off.
