I let out a deep sigh of relief as I finally made it back to my humble abode. As much as I appreciated the constant assistance from the twins, I couldn't bear the thought of relying on them for much longer - it was time for me to spread my wings and fly solo.

With that in mind, I made the decision to seek out a job, hoping to establish some semblance of independence.

Although the twins had been incredibly gracious and accommodating thus far, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of helplessness creeping in.

I adored their support but it was time for me to take matters into my own hands. I wanted to show them that I was capable of standing on my own two feet, and that I wasn't content with living life as a mere dependant.

After scouring the local job listings and submitting countless applications, I was thrilled to receive an offer from a charming little cafe located just a few blocks away. The pay was decent, and the work seemed manageable enough - I could hardly contain my excitement.

Of course, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of anxiety at the prospect of breaking the news to the twins.

Would they be disappointed in me for seeking employment outside of home? Would they feel as though I was ungrateful for their assistance?

As I stepped further inside my apartment, my phone buzzed, causing me to frown in confusion as a notification popped up on the screen. The message read simply, "Hi," and I couldn't help but wonder who it could be as the number was unrecoverable to me.

My phone and number had been a gift from the twins, which made me even more perplexed as to who the sender could possibly be. Surely it couldn't be Dimitri? No definitely not, Dimitri wouldn't text 'Hi' to begin with.

I chewed nervously on my bottom lip, propping myself up on the couch as I debated whether or not to respond.

A part of me was curious to find out who was on the other end of the message, but another part of me was hesitant to engage with someone I didn't know.

As I mulled over my options, my mind raced with questions. Who was this person? What did they want from me? Were they a friend, a foe, or someone else entirely?

The uncertainty was overwhelming, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was on the verge of a potentially dangerous situation but then again it was simply a text.

After much deliberation, I decided to take the plunge and respond to the mysterious message that had appeared on my phone. With a trembling hand, I typed out a simple reply, "Hi," followed by a tentative, "May I know who you are?"

To my surprise, the response came quickly, and I felt a jolt of shock and disbelief as I read the words on the screen. "I'm your doctor, Doctor Domenico," the message read.

At first, I wasn't sure what to make of this revelation. Why would my doctor be texting me out of the blue? Had something happened to my health that I wasn't aware of? My mind raced with a million questions, but as the initial shock wore off, I couldn't help but smile.

As our texting conversations continued, Domenico's messages began to convey a subtle but unmistakable hint of interest. It was as if he was inching closer to the edge of a cliff, testing the waters before taking the plunge.

And then, finally, he asked me out on a date for tonight. My heart skipped a beat as I felt a rush of elation wash over me. Without hesitation, I eagerly accepted his invitation, my mind already racing with excitement over what the evening might hold.

I quickly headed to the shower to get ready for the night ahead, I couldn't help but marvel at the turn of events.

It wasnt just a one-sided attraction, but a mutual feeling between us. I couldn't wait to spend time with him and get to know him better.
