They quickly fled the village but not on the same route they had come in, but a path that would take them further down into the nightmare...

As they hurriedly stumbled down the wrong route, the dense foliage around them started becoming darker and more twisted. Suddenly, the carriage came to an abrupt halt, unable to move forward. The passengers, now distraught and gripping onto each other with fear, realized that they were trapped amidst thick, unyielding cobwebs that spanned from tree to tree.

The air was heavy with dread, and an unsettling silence gripped the forest. Fearing for their lives and not wanting to wait to meet the owner of these monstrous webs, they flung open the carriage doors and sprinted deeper into the woods.

After what seemed like hours, their legs grew weak, and their lungs burned with exhaustion. Miraculously, in the heart of the forest, they discovered a grand mansion estate, untouched by the menacing cobwebs that had trapped their carriage.

Without wasting a moment, they made their way inside the mansion, desperately seeking refuge from the creature lurking beyond the well-kept grounds. Once inside, they met an old, reclusive man in his late seventies and a young maid, no older than twenty.

The old man introduced himself as Professor Laurence Whitmore, and the maid as Emily. As they welcomed the weary travelers into their home, Emily began recounting the harrowing tale that had plagued the forest.

Many years ago, Professor Whitmore had been a renowned scientist, a pioneer in genetic engineering, who aimed to create new species of organisms for the betterment of human life. However, one of his experiments went horribly awry, leading to the creation of a gigantic, venomous spider.

This monstrous arachnid, driven by its insatiable hunger, began terrorizing the forest, trapping unwitting prey in its colossal webs. It also birthed many other spiders that would grow into monstrous sizes. When the village of Dunraven was attacked, it was the final straw. Ashamed of his actions and fearful for his safety, Professor Whitmore retreated to the depths of the estate, determined never to leave his mansion again. Emily, though reluctant at first, stood by the old man, feeling a sense of duty towards him.

As they listened to the horrifying tale, the travelers were overcome with dread. They realized they had no choice but to stay in the mansion, lest they fall victim to the nightmarish creature outside. Together, they decided to find a way to vanquish the massive spider and clear the forest, hoping to finally break free from the shadows of fear that had been cast over the land by the consequences of Professor Whitmore's experiment.
