1st Person POV

It's been a few days since the fight with Stoneheart, but I prefer Rocky tbh, and it seems like things weren't looking too bright. Immediately after defeating Stoney, thousands of those purple butterflies were flying around and turning people into those rock monsters. It worried everyone, especially mom.

"Is no place safe!?" I turn to see her packing for work with a fearful look. She was hastily stuffing her purse with papers and supplies, she was freaking out. Now, normally I would freak out when she does, but I can't this time.

I walk over to her, bag already over my shoulder, and put my hands on her shoulders. "Don't worry, mom. We have new heroes here, they'll help us."

"After, what, another few days?" Mom asked, rhetorically as she was still freaking out. Before she could yell, she sighed in frustration and dropped her head down, tired from all of the stress. I rub her shoulders as it seemed like the only thing that I could think of. She had been through so much ever since...

"We just gotta stay strong," I told her as I wrap my arms around her. "And have faith." I pull her into a tight hug from behind, despite being shorter than her. "Dad always had faith, so let's do the same." I could hear mom choke up a little when I mentioned him. Even after a year, she never got over what happened to him.

Or sis...

And I might never...

I let go of her as she wipes away the tears that almost came out and could've ruined her mascara. She laughs a little and turns around to hug me. "How did I end up with such a wonderful boy." I laugh a little as I hug back.

"By being a cool mom." After a few moments of us just hugging each other, we release our hold and get ready to leave. That's when I realized something. "Hey, you go head to work. I need to grab something real quick." She nods and heads out as I ran to my room and pulled something out of my closet. Something I thought I'd never need to wear again after what happened back home.

My suit...

It's homemade though, not as cool or flashy as Peter's, but it was a good fill-in. It consisted of a worn-down blue hoodie with red outlines, sweatpants with knee pads attached, red and black gloves and shoes, and a red cowl with one-way goggles. Imprinted across the torso was a diagonal red spider logo that I spray painted on.

As I said, not as cool or flashy.

I stuffed it into my bag, along with my black utility belt. "I guess you and I still have some adventures heading our way." I wrap my bag strap around me and head out, ready for another day of school. And most likely, being a superhero.

Little did I know, that within one of the moving boxes was a present given to me by someone close...

I lock the door to my apartment room and make my way down the hall. Right as I hit the elevator button, Alya bursts out and into the hallway. "Y/n!" She runs over to me, showing me her phone with the video she made the other day, next to it were the many views it got. And she got a lot. "Look how many viewers I've got from this!"

"Wow," I'm honestly surprised, I've seen anyone get that many views in just a few days. Well except maybe Jameson when Pete first started. We walk into the elevator and wait as we head down. Well, I did. Alya was ranting on about the blog that she came up with and I just tuned her out.

Nothing personal, Alya, I just don't care.

Once we exit the building, we make our way to school. She's typing stuff on her phone, while I'm just keeping the focus on the path in front of us. Whenever we're about to cross a street, I pull her back before she could get hit by a car. Not that she noticed.
