Chapter 2

"Its no problem, everyone cracks jokes...my daughter, get us some tea to drink" They smiled as i went into the kitchen. After making the tea, i walked towards them. Then, i pretended to slip on the carpet and landed the tea straight on the boy's face as he screamed in horror.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! ARE YOU A PSYCHO!" The woman checked the boy worried and his laps and face  were red, burnt, and swollen.

"THE TEA WAS PIPING HOT!" He cried.

"Its clear your daughter is nothing but a  moron!"
"Please bear with Lena, it seems shes nervous" Mom said and i snapped,

"AM NOT NERVOUS! I JUST DONT WANT THE STUPID MARRIAGE TO HAPPEN! HOW CAN I MARRY AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE? I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT LOVE IS! AND WHY WOULD I KNOW - WHEN MOM BRINGS APES TO ME INSTEAD OF HUMANS!" I blurted out.

" So you mean - my son is an APE!" she nearly cried.

"Yes! Look at his big nose and flat lips! Hes a skinny moron, and if you think i am looking for a rich billionaire, yes!" They exclaimed.

"I cant believe you mom! i cant believe you'd try to marry me off to just anybody! Its clear you dont care about what i want! I just hate everything that talks about you! Just disappear! And if you can't find me an attractive billionaire, then forget me!" I hissed as the mother and son silently left. I looked her in the eye once more;

"  Why cant you be more like Lisa's mom? she loves her daughter more than anything and protects her! Even if Lisa is 26, she isnt forcing her daughter to get married!  Am not sure Lynda even loves you! Infact, no one's ever gonna love you! I wish you werent my mother, because you are WORTHLESS!" I was done and angrily left. She broke into uncontrollable tears.

Her heart wasnt broken enough because she deserved more.

"WHY DO YOU HATE MOM SO MUCH! SHE LOVES YOU! SHE SUFFERED BECAUSE OF YOU! YOU KNOW WHAT? THE DOCTORS TOLD HER WE WERE GONNA DIE BECAUSE OF YOU AND IF YOU WERENT BORN FIRST, WE WERE ALL GONNA DIE! BUT SHE SUFFERED SO HARD! SHE DIDNT EVEN CARE ABOUT HERSELF; SHE JUST WANTED US TO BE BORN! EVEN WHEN DAD LEFT, SHE STILL SHOULDERED THAT HUGE RESPONSIBILITY, BUT SINCE YOU GROW UP JUST TO CALL HER BAD NAMES, THEN I SAY, YOU'RE UNGRATEFUL!" Lynda said to me and my heart broke instantly.

"Am sorry....." But Lynda ran to receive Mom and they left the house. I wasnt annoyed with myself but...

WAS I REALLY UNGRATEFUL?!

The next day, i woke up to a brighter morning and decided to take a stroll. Lynda was chatting with Oliver and didnt even respond to my greetings.

"am really sorry Lynda, i promise...i'll apologize to Mom and i wont cause anymore trouble..." But she even put headphones on. Tears rolled down my cheeks as i went downstairs and when Mom saw me, she went the other way.

"Mom, please serve my breakfast, am going for a jog" I told her.

"Does a child who says ungrateful and hurtful words to her mother deserve breakfast?" she asked me.

"What is that supposed to mean?"
"I didnt cook you anything" I was so disappointed i left the house. As i was jogging and listening to music, i bumped into someone. She packed her books from the ground. There was also a graduation cap and diploma which she stuffed into her bag.

"Hello, am sorry"

"Uhm....my name is Alexandra Major. I need directions to...." Suddenly a huge sum of money fell from her bag and an hungry street sweeper instantly grabbed it.

We ran after the thief into a forest and Alexandra fell but i couldnt wait to get her. I ran after the woman into a dark, dense forest. I hid near a tree as the woman looked around and since there was no sign of me, she put the money in her pocket and heaved a sigh of relief. Suddenly, i leapt forward and slapped her.

"BRING OUT THE MONEY, WITCH!" I yelled at her as she trembled.

"Am sorry madam, please...let me take the money, my daughter is ill with heart disease, and i need $200,000 to operate her!" She cried as Alexandra came.

"DID YOU GET HER?!" I sympathized with the woman and after telling Alexandra her story, she gave her the money. The woman cried and was so grateful. She left the forest.

"And how are we gonna get out of here..." I asked Alex.

"oh don't worry, when we walk a bit further, we can get a cab to my house. I really love your bravery and action. I have an offer for you"
