Chapter 7

"She what? LETS GO!" She tried to pull me but Mr Ace pulled out a gun.

"DONT YOU DARE TOUCH MY....MY PA!" He pulled me to the back.

"Am not scared of a toy like that!" She screamed.

"Yes, it is a toy!" He pulled the trigger and i closed my eyes in fear. Pepper started oozing out.

"AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" She screamed and started covering her face as she ran. We both watched her jumping into a speeding taxi and nearly had an accident. I watched Mr CEO laugh. And this made me awestruck.

"Why do you give me that look?" he asked.

"Am sorry sir..."

"You havent done anything yet. Go get those files done" I turned and left. I couldn't stop thinking and smiling.I realized the kiss didnt mean anything to him. Soon, Mom came into my head.

What happened to Lynda?

Why did she have those bruises?

I kept wondering till i finished the files by 8pm. I went Into Mr Ace's office.

"Mr Ace..."

"Call me Ace" He said.

"A...Ace..am am done with the files..." I said putting them on his table. I turned to leave, but i remembered what i had to say.

"Ace, am sorry about what i did in the morning...I know you hated it, am just your PA.."

"I loved it."

"WHAT?! You loved what?"

"Go home, i dont have time for your trash!" He said and i left work. it was late at night again. Thankfully, i got a taxi that took me straight home. Mom was asleep on the couch and i went to my room. I saw Lena again...She was getting dressed.

"Where to?" I held her hand.

"Ace's...'

"Ace's what? ARE YOU MAD? SO, YOU GOT THESE BRUISES ON YOUR NECK FROM....ACE?!" I yelled at her. She was flinching.

"Yeah...he...he hit me yesterday when i refused to do what he said.." She cried.

"AND HE CUT YOUR HAIR?"

"Yes"

"FOR WHAT REASON? WHAT DOES THE DOG..."

"Why are you yelling Lena?" Mom came.

"Cant you see? She's getting dressed again." I said.

"To Ace's right? I told you not to give in! This man will ruin your life!"

"STOP YELLING!" I heard a tiny voice from my closet.

'WHAT THE... Who's that?" I calmed down and went towards my closet. i screamed out my lungs when i saw a tiny girl in pajamas, scratching her eyes and yawning. She stepped out tiredly.

"What do you guys have to say about her?" I looked at Lynda and Mom whose faces were down.

"uhm....she came in today.."

"WHO IS SHE? OH....I KNOW WHO SHE IS, AN ADOPTED DAUGHTER! YOU ARE SO TIRED OF ME YOU JUST WANNA ADOPT!" I yelled as the girl cut in.

"Shut up, you talk too much" Irritated, i slapped her and she fell to the ground.

"She's right. you talk too much. She's not adopted - she's....she's Lynda's 5 year old - daughter" Silence fell over the room. A long, long silence.

"DAUGHTER? How? she cant be Lynda's..."

"She is...Ace's..." I blacked out before i could hear a thing. I woke up on my bed the next day. Another fresh day of work. Tears flowed down my cheeks...Lynda had a daughter with Ace 5 years ago ... so she was pregnant, all through the one year at Italy!

"Good morning.."

"Lynda, who's Ace...show me his picture" I was starting to suspect it was the Ace i knew...no...it cant be...i was falling in love with him...he cant be the same Ace.

"Ace..i dont...i dont have his picture"

"Whats the time" I scratched my eyes.

"11am"

"WHAT? NO!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed and jumped out of bed. I wore my slippers and put a jacket on my pajamas. It wouldn't show, would it? I took my bag and ran out like a maniac.

Soon it started raining.

OH GREAT! I didnt have an umbrella with me. So i just kept walking like a hopeless idiot. I was so gonna be punished. I got to the office, and as i had expected, he was standing infront of my office door. Giving me that gangster look again.
