Time is very tricky, it moves fast when you're not aware and slow when you wait. A minute can become hours, can become days, and so on.

Some people may not see it, thinking as its only numbers that ticks and counts the persons time they lived in this world, take Immortals for example; their lives are infinite if not hundreds, they lived longer than mortals and surpass ages, time for them are meaningless, age are nothing but number. As if Time had stopped for them and solely themselves, time can move forward without them, but they will remain as time passes.

On the other hand, Mortals, value's time; they do not live long, they grew and die, can be sick and die. Fragile. Fate unpredictable, not knowing what will happen. Time tick's and days are always numbered, time move's forward and so does them. They cherished every minute and moments they have.

__

Athanasia doesn't know how things escalated too fast in just a span of a day, one minute she's sitting in her garden and sipping her favorite tea and then a moment she was falling high above the clouds.

Eeverything just got to be real. The explosion, sudden appearance of a reef in the space, vacuum door that sucked everyone who comes near it, everything.

Reality be damned.

Athanasia wished that gravity also never existed as well. What's with her always falling off the sky huh?  What is she, a bird of some sort? You got to be joking. Every time, every time she gets dropped off it has to be on the air. Great.

"CURSE YOU LUCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS-"

She shouted in indisputable rage as she continued to fall down, Athanasia was flailing her hands by now on the air in attempt to slow her fall.

She felt her heart beat fasten the seconds her fall seems to near, she can even hear it by now with how her ears rings like a bell. her stomach churned like someone had just placed thousands of batter fly and rainbows inside it, but not in a kind way.

As she fall, her head tried to conjure a spell as she used her magic, but all came out was nothing. Her magicules are at low and her reserved mana have been used by the artifact draining them when they made contact to it.

'Does it have to be now!' She screeched inside her head as panic rose inside her chest. This never happened before, yet, here her magicules deflated into zero.

Her calm resolved vanished as she screamed in panic, this was too soon for her to die.

Suddenly, something entered her vision, a person? A savior? The thing came closer and closer and clo- no! Athanasia was getting closer to that person as her fall fasten.

'Please catch me!' She pleaded in despair. Actually, you should catch this person, or your back yard might get dirty.

The person held up its hands as Athanasia was nearing, Athanasia saw it and did the same and extended her arms wide-

Short story short. That person catches her but also fell  from the impact and forced them both out of balance and knock both of them down the ground as they both came tumbling on the dirt. Athanasia winced when she hit her head hard on a rock that was -surprisingly!- laying out of nowhere on the ground and blanched

That will hurt for sure.

'Be this the last time i fall. . .' Was her last thought before leaving her conscious and drifting in the sea of dream. Keeping up is no use. She just felt relief that she did not die but at the same time anxious, for she will leave her self defenseless to a stranger and vulnerable at their mercy. But with the stress eating her and trauma spiraling, she might not be able to stay awake.
