***********************************
Three days. We've been here for three days. You'd think that I'd be used to it by now, but it's quite the opposite. I'm sick of it. Every spare moment I get, I'm cutting through the last metal bar that cuts off Lucas' cell and mine. My plan was to weaken two bars that connected our two cells, then to weaken three of the ones from mine. Then, when it was clear, I would burst the two weak bars, get Lucas, break the other three bars in my cell, and escape.

"There," I whispered as I saw that I had weakened the last bar enough so it would work. I slid the knife back into my boot and checked the hallways. "They're both clear, good," I said in a whisper and turned back to Lucas. I nudged him to wake him up. He slowly opened his eyes and then tried to sit straight, but failed.

"Shh. It's okay," I said in a low voice,"The bars are weakened I'm going to get you out of here."

He didn't respond, so I began pushing on the bars that had contained us here for too long. One began to budge but the other didn't so I pushed harder. Eventually, they both collapsed making a loud "clang" noise as they fell onto the ground and clattered.

"We should hurry, someone probably heard that," I whispered and gently grabbed Lucas by the arm, slid him carefully through the bars, and hoisted him up. I then slung his arm over my shoulder and began kicking the bars from my cell. One fell. Another fell. The third one gave in after the fourth kick.

I got Lucas out of the cell and made our way up the steps at the left. I heard guards upstairs rushing towards us, so I turned back and made it to the bottom of the steps again. "What...now?" Lucas asked.

"I'll be honest here. I didn't think past getting out of the cell," I said.

"We're...dead."

"No, no we aren't. Think optimistic."

"Okay...they are going....to capture us."

"How is that optimistic?" I asked as I started down the other hallway.

"I didn't say...that they were going to k-kill us." I looked at him with a 'really?' face and he laughed a little. We carried on through the long hallway, but it didn't seem to end.

Finally, I found a door at the end of it. I hurried to it as much as I could with Lucas and opened it slightly. No one. I opened it further. Still no one. I opened it as far as it would go. I walked in then shut the door behind me.

Wish I hadn't done that. I turned around and the entire room was filled with chains, cages and saws. 'A torture room!' I thought.

The footsteps sounded closer and closer to us. I hurriedly looked around the room for a way out or a place to hide. I found a door at the far right of the room and quickly ran over and opened it. The door revealed a closet with a shelf at the top and I turned around, still supporting Lucas, and found a chair I could stand on.

I slowly placed Lucas on the floor beside the closet and picked up the chair, then placed it to where we could climb up to the top. I helped Lucas up the chair, on top of the shelf and followed him up, purposely kicking the chair away from the closet in the process.

I closed the closet door just as some of the men burst through the room. I turn my head to my right to look at Lucas and how he's holding up. His eyes were closed and he was catching his breath. He has endured a lot and is still enduring blood loss, though not as much as before.

Footsteps came near the door and my heart began beating out of my chest to the point that I thought it might explode. The footsteps stopped, but the door opened. I quickly grabbed Lucas' arm and used my power between the both of us.

I've been working on this technique a little but it never worked. My eyes were closed because I needed to concentrate so hard and couldn't have any distractions. I just prayed to God Griffith wasn't there.

I heard the door close and the footsteps recede but voices were still in the room however, I still opened my eyes and rested anyways.

I turned to Lucas and his eyes were opened and wide. I laughed a little at his reaction.

"How...I-what?" Lucas asked.

"I've been working on the technique a little but it would never work, so when the door opened I panicked and I thought trying was worth a shot."

We both realized how dangerously close we were and I turned my head back the other way, but Lucas sat still. I tried to read minds from the next room and when I couldn't hear anything, I knew it was empty and the coast was clear.
